Passing Grade

Blurb One:

When the exam results came out, Yi Sheng secretly changed one of his answers so he wouldn't get his butt whooped when he got home.

"Hey! You marked one of my answers wrong, damn it!"

He slammed his 59-point test paper down in front of the class representative.

The other boy tremblingly took the paper and recalculated the score.

"Did I pass?"

Yi Sheng asked warily. The well-behaved boy trembled as he looked up, his eyes reddened at the corners. He handed the test back with tears in his eyes and said:

"Y-You got 60..."

Yi Sheng's heart gave a sudden lurch.

He stared blankly as he took the paper, looked at the beautiful new score, then at the pitiful boy, and blurted out:

"Damn, that's beautiful."

From then on, I made countless efforts, all so I could pass in your heart.

Blurb Two:

Wan Er has recently been pestered by a troublemaker in his class.

The boy gets bad grades and has a foul temper. His fierce-looking face scares Wan Er whenever he sees it.

But gradually, Wan Er realizes that although the boy looks ferocious, he's actually a lovable blockhead:

He acted like a drama queen and got scolded by everyone just so Wan Er could get the last little cake;

He secretly stuffed a weight into his pocket to help Wan Er win tug-of-war, only to drop it on his foot;

He volunteered to make Wan Er a lunchbox when he was sick, but forgot to add salt;

He held up cue cards during the class meeting performance, but kept them upside down the whole time...

On the day he confessed, the delinquent boy grabbed Wan Er by the wrist and asked nervously:

"Have I... passed in your heart?"

Wan Er lifted his eyes to look at him, then blushed and turned away shyly.

"You've been... a hundred points for ages."
