The Fairies at the Bubble Tea Shop

Also known as: The Bizarre Daily Life of a Slacker Office Worker and a Bunch of Useless Bubble Tea Spirits

Late one night, while returning to the shop, Hua Qiang, an exhausted employee at Cha Mou Dao, unexpectedly ran into a supernatural boy with a haphazard appearance, milk foam running from his nostrils and soybean powder puffing from his mouth.

Having spent three years sneaking peeks at ghost stories during high school biology class, Hua Qiang calmly remarked, "I'm seeing things."

The boy gave a cold snort and spoke in the unbearably arrogant tone of a domineering CEO: "Woman, have you ever seen such a handsome ghost? I am none other than Dou Ru Yu Qilin, the famous bubble tea spirit of Cha Mou Dao!"

Hua Qiang scratched her head and repeated, "I'm seeing things."

Then, beyond the limits of what carbon-based life could comprehend, she went on to meet the refined but socially anxious classical boy Mo Li Nai Lu, the adorable-looking but violent little brat Xigua Bobo, and the outwardly elegant but inwardly lecherous, sex-starved man Oreo Milk Tea...

At first, Qiangqiang's reaction: It's not me who's wrong, it's the world!

Later, Qiangqiang's reaction: I'm done with you guys making things awkward for me every single day!

The useless little bubble tea spirits: Mommy! Save us!

Hua Qiang, looking like someone watching a show: Holy shit...

Reader's notes:

1. Absurd, meme-filled supernatural comedy + ensemble cast elements + no romance for the heroine + bad taste + slice-of-life banter.

2. This is a very rough novel with a dense barrage of cringe and potentially upsetting elements. The heroine is rather tomboyish, so please read with caution if that's not your thing.

Theme: Life is usually uneventful, so a little liveliness is a rare treat.
