Even a Plant Killer Dreams of Farming

After finishing his part-time job, Chen Xi went home and fell asleep. When he woke up, a fellow claiming to be a farming System came knocking and requested to bind with him.

Chen Xi, a plant killer whose plants all die and whose flowerpots are never without soil, was stunned. Had Systems become so desperate that they'd bind with just anyone?

The System was still reciting its offer in a businesslike voice: "Eight thousand a month, weekends off, room and board provided, plus three adorable pets."

The binding request was approved in an instant.

Chen Xi woke right up and said righteously, "It's not about the money or the weekends off. I just love farming. My roots as a citizen of the Flower Kingdom have awakened!"

After they bound, the System looked at the pots on the balcony, which held nothing but soil, and the flower seedlings Chen Xi had just bought. It exclaimed excitedly, "Looks like I found the right Host!"

Chen Xi felt guilty for a second, then convinced himself that a good job was something you had to fight for. He'd already signed the contract, so he could just work hard during the probation period!

Besides, if the System could bind with even him without doing a background check on its Host, it was probably some slapdash operation, a half-finished System riddled with bugs. Neither of them had any reason to look down on the other!

"I've got one little question. Do you have a probation period?"

The System thought he wanted to back out. "Dear, we're bound for life. No unbinding! One System serves one person!"

Chen Xi clenched his fist in secret delight: That settles it, no need to take the civil service exam!

As the last dragon in the world, Qiumu was powerful and precious, adored by countless people.

But that didn't change the fact that he had to make it rain on his boyfriend's fields.

He had no choice. If he didn't water the vegetable garden, he wouldn't be allowed back into the house that night.
