Zhou Yuwen spent a semester on exchange at B University: he got a girlfriend and fell in love.

On the first day after returning to A University, Zhou Yuwen received a message:

“Let’s break up.”

Zhou Yuwen had been dumped.

Everyone in the know wondered what kind of girl could have done that.

She must have been gorgeous, maybe had a great figure, maybe was wild… She certainly wasn’t ordinary.

That summer, during A University’s graduate recommendation summer camp, Zhou Yuwen, lead singer of an underground rock band, broke from his usual low-key ways and put on show after show.

During every opening song, his eyes swept across the audience again and again.

The summer camp was nearing its end, and so was the last show.

Zhou Yuwen clenched his teeth and bowed his head over his bass, his fingertips turning bloody.

When he looked up, he saw her smiling face.

Plain and simple, wearing glasses and holding a book, she was the kind of well-behaved girl who would vanish in a crowd.

His eyes stung, and Zhou Yuwen silently thought:

He forgave Chi Ye.

Even though she’d never once apologized.

That summer, Zhou Yuwen fell in love again.

Curious people asked how his new girlfriend had healed his heartbreak and won him over.

The answer was simple: she was his ex-girlfriend.
