After Leaving the Sect, I Became the Ancestor's Dao Companion

Xia Yinyue diligently serves as the senior disciple.

A new junior brother joins the sect. He's a playboy who acts one way in public and another in private, but pins all the blame on Xia Yinyue.

For the junior brother's sake, their master confines Xia Yinyue.

His childhood friend warns him not to hurt the junior brother.

The sect treats Xia Yinyue like the culprit who framed the junior brother, shunning and isolating him.

One day, heartbroken and utterly despairing, Xia Yinyue finally cuts out his core of sincerity. His spiritual root is ruined, and he stumbles down the mountain, covered in wounds.

What he doesn't know is that while his core of sincerity was missing:

His junior brother stroked his sleeping face. "I want so badly to hide Senior Brother away."

A demonic cultivator picked up the sword he'd thrown away on the road and licked its blade. "Even the sword is this sweet. You must taste so sweet and delicious, too."

His former fiancé, a crybaby whose engagement had been annulled, cried a hundred times before finally steeling himself to ask, "Do you remember who I am yet?"

Wounded and half-conscious, Xia Yinyue opens his eyes to find the patriarch, who only leaves the mountain once every three thousand years, feeding him a medicinal nectar:

"Who are you?"

"You've lost your memory. You've forgotten that you're my newly wedded Dao partner."

And so the amnesiac senior disciple, Xia Yinyue, blunders into becoming the patriarch's Dao partner and returns to the sect with him.

The whole sect lines the path to welcome them in grand style, only to see the senior disciple who was expelled standing beside the patriarch, dressed in gorgeous robes and feathers.

"How dare you, you wicked disciple! Why are you standing beside the patriarch?"

The patriarch takes Xia Yinyue's hand affectionately. "I forgot to introduce him. This is my... Dao partner."
