Late Awakening

[A short practice piece, BE!!!]

Rising star Song Ran and award-winning actor Pei Si were forced to announce their relationship after a photo showed them kissing in a race car at a racing competition on Yuandie Mountain, with the crowd watching.

On the very first day of their announcement, the first post by Weibo user "Have Song Ran and Pei Si broken up today?" was checked in by millions.

A year later, the user "Have Song Ran and Pei Si broken up today?" deleted all their posts and changed their name to "Have Song Ran and Pei Si gotten married today?" The number of people checking in was several times greater than before.

But just a few hours later, Song Ran and Pei Si announced their breakup.

At the same time, Pei Si announced his retirement from the entertainment industry to return home and take over the company, while Song Ran announced she was stepping away from acting to become a singer.

From then on, one could only catch a glimpse of him in financial magazines or interviews, while the other could only be seen at her annual concert.

Whenever Pei Si appeared in a magazine, his expression was stern and his gaze indifferent, as distant and untouchable as the custom suit he wore from the brand Cedar.

He no longer had the radiant, passionate smile he wore in that photo taken after their kiss on the peak of Yuandie Mountain.

As for Song Ran, she became uninhibited, drinking beer or smoking onstage as she sang sultry songs.

Yet every year at Song Ran's concert, a hundred thousand fans held banners, pleading for the two of them to get back together and make up.
