Admiring the Clouds

Bold beauty x aloof heartthrob A strong-willed man gets his comeuppance, fake marriage turning into real love The pampered young lady of the Jiang family was as beautiful as a flower, with a gentle and docile nature. Anyone who saw her couldn't help but soften, and even their voices grew gentler when they spoke to her. Anyone but Shen Du. Shen Du made no secret of his dislike for Jiang Yunshu. He treated her coldly, almost cruelly, and often bullied her until her eyes brimmed with tears. Who could have guessed that the two of them would eventually become husband and wife? Everyone thought Jiang Yunshu would have a hard time after marrying into the Shen family, and that she would be bullied even worse. Yet after the wedding, Jiang Yunshu looked healthier and more radiant than ever, without a trace of the pitiful, bullied woman they had expected. Shen Du, on the other hand, grew increasingly moody and unpredictable. Someone said that one day, they went to Shen Du's study to ask him for help with something. They had barely gotten a few words out when Shen Du, who had seemed to be in a good mood, flew into a rage. Shen Du's face darkened as he barked hoarsely, “Can't you understand? Get out!” They fled in confusion, with no idea why Shen Du had suddenly erupted, his ears red. And they would never know that after they left, Shen Du roughly lifted the pretty face hiding beneath the desk. His calloused thumb kneaded her moist lips without an ounce of tenderness. Shen Du's breathing was uneven as he gritted his teeth. “Having fun? Had enough yet?” * In his smooth-sailing life, Shen Du had never encountered a woman as outrageous as Jiang Yunshu. He was completely powerless against her. And he couldn't stop himself from gradually falling into her tender embrace. Until that day. Jiang Yunshu's tender fingertips brushed over an old scar on his back as she murmured, “Thank goodness you saved me in that alley back then. It must have hurt so much.” Shen Du stiffened, his pupils trembling. He knew perfectly well that he had never saved anyone in an alley. That scar was from the year he went off to war with the army, left on the battlefield. Reader's Guide: 1. The male lead puts on an act at first: aloof, arrogant, and condescending, with a smoldering personality. Later, when he learns his wife doesn't love him at all, he turns into a lowly puppy. He'll show off like a peacock to get her attention, and act pitiful and wronged, begging her to love him. 2. The female lead takes more initiative at first, but doesn't mistreat herself. She's not the traditional virtuous heroine: she has some morals, but not many. Her motto is, “Nothing matters more than making myself happy.” 3. Romance-focused, with the plot serving the relationship. Ninety percent romance, with a sweet tone. Theme: Treat each other with care and cherish one another
