Embroidered Spring Mountain

Li Lingyi’s master told her, "You must live the life you want."

But what kind of life did she want?

It seems Li Lingyi was born with all her eggs in one basket. She was born into the royal family of Western Liang, but after just over a decade as a princess, a war led by Huan Wen destroyed her family. Her mother died by self-immolation, her aunt was captured, and Li Lingyi fled with her tutor to Kuaiji in the Eastern Jin.

Then she changed her identity! She became an embroiderer for the Langya Wang clan. However, her ninety-jin body contained eighty-nine jin of rebellious spirit. Though she had become a bondservant, she still wanted to change other people’s fates. She used the embroidery workshop to go into business and turned it into a well-known brand in Kuaiji. At the same time, she expanded her business, recruited talented people, and took in many maids from disgraced officials’ families who had been sold off, helping them make their fortunes alongside her.

Of course, on the road to prosperity, there were always men who didn’t know their place and wanted to turn an independent woman like her into a housewife. So after spending some time as a housewife, Li Lingyi came to her senses and kicked aside the obstacle blocking her path to becoming a wealthy woman.

The Grand Empress Dowager: "I can make you a commandery princess and marry you to the Prince of Wuling."

The Grand Princess: "I can take you as my sworn younger sister and marry you to the Prince of Wuling."

Li Lingyi looked at the wealth and status within easy reach, then quietly took two steps back. "I don’t want any of that!"

Everyone asked, "Then what do you want?"

Li Lingyi raised her chin proudly. "I want every woman who longs for freedom to be able to leave her home. I want this splendid land to belong to our people!"

A heroine with a great love in her heart x a hero who loves his country

They’re both career-minded. Why rank one above the other?

Theme: Let this splendid land be ours.
