At the boundary between the present world and the indescribable gate, beneath the light of three blue moons.
The monster that should have died and turned to mush bathes in the blue moonlight once more, piecing itself back together into human form.
In the space between madness and calm, a person from another world recovers his consciousness.
Huai Shen is a devoted fan of the Lovecraftian wasteland progression novel Under the Blue Moon. He never imagined that after discussing the plot with the author, he would be pulled into the novel by the blue moon he admired on his way home from a convention, and transmigrate into the role of a death-bound, suicidal, crazy villain!
Huai Shen thinks, So cosplay really can make you transmigrate. He really shouldn't have doubted those who came before him.
The villain is a mad researcher of enormous renown throughout the world. He and the protagonist clash for over a thousand chapters. Their battles of wits and strength had enthralled Huai Shen as a reader. They anticipate each other's moves, spring traps on each other, and understand each other better than anyone else in the world. Their relationship as sworn enemies is truly astonishing.
Huai Shen still remembers the shock he felt at the ending: the villain dies in the male lead's arms, telling him that he was the male lead's childhood moonlight, then laughing as he dies.
The problem is...
Huai Shen thinks it over for a while, but ultimately can't figure out what the biggest problem is. If he's transmigrated into a crazy villain destined to die, then so be it. He'll deal with whatever comes his way. He's always believed that where there's a will, there's a way. Still, Huai Shen can't shake the feeling that he's overlooked something.
Fortunately, the story hasn't started yet. The plot won't officially begin for another twenty years. Huai Shen wanders across this already-rotting land, planning to rescue the villain and protagonist while they're still children, at least so their lives won't be quite so miserable.
Unexpectedly, one strange incident after another strikes the underground city of wanderers where Huai Shen lives. A deep-blue attendant, dozens of meters tall, strolls across the K3546 Plain as malicious black-blue fog blankets the entire world.
Followers of the Apostles of the Old Ones are everywhere. The abandoned temples of the forsaken gods have been taken over, and the wheel of fate turns slowly amid the clouds.
At last, everyone is looking into his eyes. Even Jiang Fan, the protagonist and paragon of righteousness, tells him with absolute certainty, "No matter how the world ends up being destroyed, you are you. That's all."
Only then does Huai Shen remember what the biggest problem is.
This novel has a world-ending finale where everyone dies! What the hell!
But it doesn't matter. Life will always find a way forward.
The top's perspective:
After personally killing his lifelong nemesis, the strongest human, Jiang Fan, discovers the world's greatest secret.
His nemesis seems to contain the world's anchor point. After he dies, the entire world twists and lurches. When Jiang Fan opens his eyes again, he discovers that he's returned to twenty years in the past.
No matter. He just has to save the world all over again.
Without changing his expression, Jiang Fan once more sets off on a journey from one underground city to another. But in the past, twenty years earlier, he unexpectedly encounters his young nemesis.
The brilliant researcher from the Forbidden City Underground City, a wild, carefree, proud, and crazy genius, is imprisoned by a group of mad scientists, subjected to torment and darkness, with his pride being stripped away piece by piece.
An indescribable fury erupts in Jiang Fan's heart. This liar even said before he died that he was Jiang Fan's childhood savior, his moonlight, when he was just as miserable at the time...
Jiang Fan grits his teeth and blows up the entire laboratory, saving his nemesis as a child. But he never expected that at the other end of the world, the nemesis who had cosplayed his way into this world was already protecting a young Jiang Fan in his arms while "cordially" discussing the laws and regulations of the underground city with a bunch of frenzied religious fanatics.
"I've told many lies in my life, but I've also told many truths."
"For instance, this is true: Jiang Fan, we met long ago, at the beginning of time, in a place you never could have imagined."
"The beginning of time, which I created and studied."
"Jiang Fan, it's absurd, isn't it? But that's who I am: a living, breathing body of flesh and blood that wants to become your god."
"After all... I'm the reader who survived because of you."

[Welcome back, honored Observer: Keeper of Secrets.]
A cheerful, optimistic, idealistic, archetypal sunshine protagonist and sworn enemy, white moonlight, and great liar.
