I’m Really Not a Lowlife

Ruan Zhu accidentally enters a shooting game and becomes an NPC with awakened self-awareness, the kind whose sole purpose is to feed kills to players.

He knows that the game will launch soon, and a huge wave of players will arrive.

As a coward who's afraid of pain, Ruan Zhu honestly doesn't want to die at the hands of players and then get locked away in the penalty box.

So he can only hide in secret, trying to survive until the very end of the game...

Scene One:

Player: Holy crap, there's a bunch of gunfire up ahead. There must be a huge fight going on. Forget it, let's go around.

Ruan Zhu puts away the gun he'd deliberately emptied and quietly breathes a sigh of relief.

Scene Two:

Player: I just went into the bathroom and saw someone lying inside. The next second, I got shot dead. Damn it!

Trying to survive until the poison zone finished shrinking, Ruan Zhu is suddenly startled by a player coming in. He screams in terror and keeps his finger pressed hard on the trigger.

Scene Three:

Player: Heh heh, we've made it to the final circle. I'm definitely getting the chicken dinner! Wait, how did I just get shot in the head?!

Wearing a ghillie suit he'd picked up and hiding in the bushes, Ruan Zhu cries as he aims the scope's crosshairs at the player's head.

I'm sorry. I really want to live.

At the same time, on the official chicken dinner game forum in the real world, many players were passionately venting...

"I've had it with this game's campers. Can't they just fight fair?"

"What, you got ambushed too?"

"You're not the only one. I got shot in the head by him while he was hiding in the bushes. He's really good with a sniper rifle."

"He's good and he camps. Are we supposed to just let him kill us all?!"

Blurb Two:

Professional gaming ace Zhao Xiangzhou suffered the worst defeat of his life during the holidays. He got ambushed in a game and was mercilessly mocked by his teammates for a whole week.

A grudge-holder, he memorized the other player's ID and started doing everything he could to get matched with them. As they played more and more games, Zhao Xiangzhou also began to take a deep interest in the other player.

Don't come over here!
