Saionji Ayama was the top seat of the 99th generation of Moonlight Academy's Elite Ten. His formidable abilities silenced the onlookers who called their generation the "Rotten Wood Era."
Ever since he started at Moonlight Academy, two towering figures had stood over him: Tsukasa, known as the White Knight, and the wandering chef Kohei, who took the top seat after him.
Everyone said Saionji Ayama had been given the top seat only because he was the best of a bad lot. They overlooked all the sweat he had poured into earning it.
The winner of the [BLUE] competition and the chef who earned a three-star restaurant rating faster than anyone else, Saionji Ayama, was admiring his trophies alone one night when he suddenly transmigrated back to the past.
And it seemed he had gone back several years.
Staring at his fifteen-year-old self in the mirror, Saionji Ayama fell silent. Then he looked at the white-haired boy he had knocked unconscious. From that striking hair color, he just about recognized him as the man who might be the lifelong nemesis number one: Tsukasa, known as the "White Knight."
"Um, who are you...?"
The top seat, rubbing the back of his head as he got up, couldn't help asking when Saionji Ayama suddenly appeared before him.
Remembering that he had nowhere else to go, Saionji Ayama said, "I heard you need an assistant right now. How about me?"
Tsukasa: ?
*At last, someone is willing to be your assistant, Senior Tsukasa!*
Blurb for When the Player Controlling Me Starts Spending Big:
A genius has joined the latest class at the police academy. He gets perfect scores in every subject, from investigations to marksmanship.
But Kirishima Yuisei alone knows the truth: it's not that he's talented. It's that the player controlling him is.
The good news: the player is highly skilled.
The bad news: the techie is broke.
So whenever the player logs off, Kirishima Yuisei has to squeeze in extra time working multiple jobs, making sure he can collect the coins earned while the player was away.
But everyone else sees it differently.
A tragic background, no parents, working to pay his way through school, and excellent grades.
Not only does he catch the attention of the five police academy classmates, but the authorities also pick Kirishima Yuisei as a promising candidate for undercover work.
But then, out of nowhere, in his first month at the distillery, while he is still on probation, the distillery's hardest worker discovers his undercover identity and shoots him dead on the spot.
All the coins and supplies the player had stockpiled in the game vanish with his death.
The player, who had spent ages grinding, is devastated. They restart the game on the spot, determined to make the character who killed him pay.
When Kirishima Yuisei comes back to life, he sees all the skill points and the string of zeroes on the bank card that have arrived in his inventory at the same time. His pupils shake with shock.
Could it be that the player controlling him is actually loaded?
Had all that backbreaking work just been for the player's life experience??!
