One day, someone posted a picture of a love lock in the class group chat Xia Tian & Xu Buzhou: Together for a lifetime. Xia Tian was an ordinary girl, so ordinary that people would laugh at her just for having her name placed beside that of the dazzling boy. Xu Buzhou had just finished playing basketball. Wearing a white jersey and black sneakers, he walked into the classroom with the energy of a summer youth. The boys grinned and handed him the photo. Xia Tian buried her flushed face in her book, wishing she could disappear on the spot. The slender, bony left hand of the boy cracked open a bottle of iced cola. He asked nonchalantly “Who the hell is this?” * Later, as Xu Buzhou rode past the camphor trees, he tossed out a carefree question: “Want to be with me?” At that moment, Xia Tian was so happy she nearly fainted. She never knew that on the day she threw away the lock, Xu Buzhou spent the entire night searching the mountains for it.
