My Annoying Childhood Friend Stole My Love Letter

Lu Jiansen cast a huge shadow over Qin Miao's childhood.

Just as wood overcomes water, Lu Jiansen was Qin Miao's natural nemesis.

In kindergarten, Qin Miao ate three bowls of rice at every meal and grew rounder and rounder. No matter how much anyone tried to talk him out of it, he wouldn't listen.

Lu Jiansen told Qin Miao that the kindergarten's scale was there to eat overweight kids. Terrified, Qin Miao never dared eat too much again.

In sixth grade, Qin Miao got caught up in the latest craze and started online dating, spending every day immersed in Mars-speak love messages. After chatting with people for a while, he found his true love.

Qin Miao blocked everyone else and went to meet his date in person. At the agreed-upon spot, he came face-to-face with Lu Jiansen's mocking expression, and the familiar avatar on Lu Jiansen's phone.

When he got home, he deleted the app and never fell in love again.

-

From kindergarten to primary school, from primary school to middle school, from middle school to high school.

For over a decade, Lu Jiansen's ghost never left him alone.

-

On countless sleepless nights, Qin Miao clenched his fists and swore he'd fight back.

After lying low for years, his chance finally came in high school.

That scoundrel Lu Jiansen seemed to be dating the school belle.

Ha! Qin Miao was going to make him taste the pain of losing the one he loved.

On an auspicious day, Qin Miao wrote two letters. One was a confession to the school belle, and the other was a challenge to Lu Jiansen.

He would have the school belle watch him defeat Lu Jiansen, then fall into his heroic embrace.

His smug mood lasted until school was out. He went to the rooftop and found the school belle's five burly older brothers, along with Lu Jiansen, who looked like he wanted to say something but couldn't.

Damn it, he mixed them up!

-

Years later, Qin Miao, who had been forced to take responsibility for Lu Jiansen, returned to his old school and happened to find a security camera recording.

In the classroom, the outwardly upright Lu Jiansen walked past his seat and casually switched the two envelopes.

1. A childhood-sweethearts slow-burn romance. The love-letter mix-up comes later.

2. The school belle gets her own happy ending. It was all a misunderstanding, and no one was playing with her feelings.
