A Thousand Years Without Being an Immortal

Xie Si had been a human, a god, and a ghost.

When he was human, his father was the imperial preceptor. He had seen every kind of rare and precious treasure, yet his family still ended up destroyed.

When he became a god, he had only just ascended when he turned around and jumped off the Ascension Terrace, demoting himself to the mortal realm. He became a fake immortal who went around telling people's fortunes.

As a ghost, he became a messenger between Heaven and the ghost realm. Everyone ordered him around, but luckily Heaven didn't have all that much to say to the underworld, and the ghost realm didn't have all that much to send back up, so he was able to enjoy a pretty carefree life.

But after he had been doing this easy job for a while, a rumor started among the ghosts:

Young Master Xie went to Heaven to pass on messages so he could secretly meet with the gods up there, and even got pregnant as a result!

Later, Xie Si invited Qing Wuyi to visit the ghost realm. The old woman in charge of the sewage blurted out, "Oh? Young Master Xie, is this the god who got you pregnant?"

Xie Si: "..."

Qing Wuyi: "?"

A little immortal official in charge of matchmaking discovered a huge secret. The Lord of the White Clouds and Young Master Xie, who had demoted himself to the mortal realm and then ascended again, seemed to have gotten together!

Taking advantage of the fact that nobody was around, the little official tried to secretly cut their red thread. Unfortunately, the two people in question caught him in the act.

The little official wiped his sweat and stepped aside, bowing. "My lord."

"What are you doing?"

The little official swallowed his nerves. "There was a problem with the matchmaker's thread, so I was about to fix it."

The Lord glanced at the red thread and said, "It's a good mistake. Leave it as it is."

◆ Not a pregnancy story. The pregnancy really is just a rumor.

◆ Update: I really like this book's setting and characters, and I've worked out a detailed outline. I've also been writing the main story off and on, but for now, I really don't dare start publishing it. I might wait until it passes the paid chapter threshold :D
