Coming soon: I'm the Villain, So Let Me Die First! The blurb is at the very bottom!
[Blurb]
Someone died in Wujian Que, to the great delight of every immortal sect.
But Xie Jiu sat up in his coffin and gave all the immortal sects a shocking case of the undead.
"Sorry, I wasn't quite dead. I know that's disappointing."
The System told Xie Jiu to repair the plot of this fictional world, then die at the appointed time.
Guided by the villain's principle of doing one bad deed a day, Xie Jiu made life difficult for the male lead, Rong Qi, at every turn. He sneered at Rong Qi with his words and refused to save him when he was in danger, convinced he was playing his villain role to perfection.
But when the war between immortals and demons broke out, and it was time for him to fake his death and disappear, the very person who was supposed to kill him stepped forward to shield him.
Xie Jiu: ...This plot is so absurd, I'm done trying.
He deliberately ran himself onto the tip of Rong Qi's sword, figuring that counted as completing his faked-death mission.
Five years later, Xie Jiu woke up sick from head to toe, so frail a gust of wind could knock him over. He went alone to ask the legendary Immortal Venerable Shangzhi for help, but the moment he heard the venerable's real name, he stumbled in shock and turned to run.
He had barely taken a few steps before the man himself hauled him back. The young man, whose eyes had once been so clear, now looked utterly deranged. He clamped a fierce hand around Xie Jiu's throat and rasped in a low voice, "Master, if you want to die, why didn't you ask me first?"
The edge of the table dug painfully into Xie Jiu's lower back, but he refused to yield.
"If I want to die, I'll die. What does that have to do with you?"
Rong Qi lowered his head and murmured tenderly in his ear, "Master, you really are... so heartless."
Xie Jiu: ...That tone is kind of scary.

Blurb for I'm the Villain, So Let Me Die First!:
Xie Jiuyuan died.
But then he came back to life.
He was back in the days when he was young and full of ambition, before the immortal sects and demons joined forces to kill him.
All four limbs intact, and, most importantly, his pretty face was still there.
Perfect.
But for some inexplicable reason, he became bound to a system called "Do One Good Deed a Day, One Bad Deed a Month." It required him to accumulate good karma while completing villain missions, then fake his death and disappear.
Xie Jiuyuan, who had once done every evil under the sun, declared:
Life is a play, and it all comes down to acting.
So what if I have to pretend to be virtuous? I'll put on a show for you.
And so:
Xie Jiuyuan cured his senior brother, who had been chronically ill.
Xie Jiuyuan restored the crumbling Siyi Sect to its former glory.
Xie Jiuyuan risked his life to kill an ancient demon beast that had been terrorizing the world.
The immortal sects: This young man is pure of heart. He's sure to achieve great things.
Later:
Xie Jiuyuan stole the immortal sects' treasures.
The immortal sects: Impossible! Absolutely impossible!
Xie Jiuyuan betrayed his sect and joined the Demon Domain.
The immortal sects: He must have his reasons!
Xie Jiuyuan had a secret affair with the Demon Lord and became a favored guest in the demon palace.
The immortal sects: That Demon Lord must have bewitched him!
Meanwhile, the Demon Lord had Xie Jiuyuan pinned beneath him and chuckled.
"I hear you were bewitched by me and gave yourself to me?"
Xie Jiuyuan's waist trembled. He couldn't get a word out.
He swore to himself: Just you wait. I'll die for you, and then you'll be crying as you bury me!
Once he had accumulated one hundred percent good karma, the immortal sects joined forces to attack the demons.
Without hesitation, Xie Jiuyuan threw himself in front of the Demon Lord.
"Stop! I'm the villain, so let me die first!"
The Demon Lord fell silent.
He took a sword for me. He loves me.
The Demon Lord had an epiphany.
He's willing to die for me. He loves me beyond reason.
The Demon Lord pulled Xie Jiuyuan behind him and pointed his sword at the immortal sects.
"Anyone who dares touch him will meet their end here."
Xie Jiuyuan: "…"
Thanks, but really, you don't have to.

Theme: Never give up. Even when all seems lost, you can find a way through.
It's very frustrating... You can see that the plot line is very thoughtful. Each character has a story line behind them and they are all quite complete. But the writing is too thin to hold up the entire line. The emotional line is also very thin, especially the main CP. It is completely unclear when Gong and Shou fell in love with each other. It seems that the paranoia of Gong after death escape and rebirth are a bit unreasonable. And I especially don't understand why Feng had to receive the lunch box. It was quite sudden, and his death neither promoted the plot nor had much meaning (Xue Min just cried and killed many demons and then disappeared), so it felt a bit tortured for the sake of torture. But I really like Xie Jiu's early character, especially the ruthless one. It's a pity that the character didn't stick, and I suddenly felt guilty for being soft-hearted (maybe the early ruthless and loose character impressed me too much, so the contrast in the later period also created a big psychological gap). I especially like the setting where he had an experience of being abused in the present world before traveling through the book, so I was very excited when I saw the foreshadowing. I always thought, "The next chapter should reveal why Xie Jiu doesn't want to live anymore." It's a pity, but after reading it, I think the story is still good. I hope the author will continue to work hard!
Looking back at Yisu Xuan, I always feel sad. Fortunately, there is Ming Su. If possible, I hope Ming Su can enter that person's desolate and sad heart, but most likely he will never be cured in his lifetime.
So beautiful! The character is nice, but it feels a bit short.
In fact, the original Xie Jiu was quite pitiful. What a good young man, he became like this because of the indifference of the world; and because of his occasional help, he cared about this person for many years, but he didn't know whose eyes he hurt, and he fell into a permanent disaster, like falling into the abyss.
Why do I feel that the supporting characters' love-hate relationship is more ups and downs and profound than the protagonist's...
I feel that Gong's space is very short, and other supporting characters appear and are described more than Gong... So until the end, Gong's character image is very thin and unfulfilled, and there is no explanation of Gong's experience and changes in the past five years.
It feels like everything is urging Mr. Xue to grow up, hug???
I've finished reading it. It's pretty good. I like the characters very much. You can check it out. Maybe the roles between the characters need to be balanced. Some people have more roles but less, such as Xue and Rong. Rong's plot is too little, so that the emotional changes of the characters feel a little superficial, and the description of "thank you" is too brief. In fact, it should be regarded as a high-conflict drama point, but if you skip it, you will inevitably feel a little disappointed.
(I don't know what to say at the moment) (I have the opportunity to meet the right person multiple times in my next life)
Tsk, I finished watching it. I was screaming at the beginning, but I felt exhausted at the end.
