I Opened a Gentlemen's Virtue School in Ancient Times

Xi Yang transmigrates into a man, and not just any man: he's the fat, pompous male side character in a book. The original owner is the emperor's uncle, but he's a notorious wastrel who bullies men and abducts women, terrorizing the common people. He's also the leader of a whole pack of wastrels, with a crowd of lackeys following him around.

The original owner doesn't know his place. He tries to steal a woman from the emperor and gets beheaded. His lackeys are killed trying to save him, and officials and commoners alike clap and cheer: Good riddance!

Xi Yang's soul is that of a woman, so of course she doesn't try to steal a woman from the emperor. Instead, she announces in front of everyone that she's spent years living a life of debauchery and is now impotent. The emperor nods repeatedly, satisfied.

But what is she supposed to do with her despised lackeys? She can't let them keep being wastrels. They need to study and reform, so Xi Yang quietly starts a School of Virtue for Men.

[What kind of School of Virtue for Men is this? It'll teach people nothing but how to be wastrels!]

Yet a few months later, everyone in the capital is stunned.

Xi Yang's Number One lackey sees the Minister of Rites' son harassing a virtuous woman and beats him until he's crawling on the ground!

Xi Yang's Number Two lackey sees the top scholar abandoning his wife and child, then trying to marry his second younger sister despite being a toad reaching for a swan's flesh. He beats him until he's crawling on the ground!

Xi Yang's Number Three lackey learns that the Earl's son enjoys torturing women to death. He gathers a gang of wastrels from the School of Virtue for Men, ties the man up, and parades him through the streets.

All the wastrels have become good people who punish evil and promote good.

[The noble ladies of the capital: We hear graduates of the School of Virtue for Men take only one wife and treat her well. Our daughters can marry them!]

[The officials of the capital: Hurry up and bundle up all the wastrels in your families and send them to the School of Virtue for Men!]

[The emperor: The capital has been much more peaceful lately. My uncle deserves a lot of credit.]

Before long, Xi Yang opens a School of Virtue for Women. For a while, the powerful and wealthy fight tooth and nail for enrollment spots. By the time they realize their well-behaved, virtuous daughters no longer follow rules and etiquette to the letter, and instead live freely, enjoying life, it's already too late for regrets!
