Upcoming: Bad Guys Always Get Caught on My Livestream. You're welcome to add it to your collection. The blurb is at the very bottom, and it will begin serialization in late August.
Now for this book's blurb...
During a livestream for the show Kids, Look Here, actress Mu Yan's son, Mu Dian, gets his foot pinched by a crab at the beach. He sits there wiping away tears, when suddenly, with a thump, a huge crab lands beside his foot. Startled, he hurriedly backs away.
Another thump. This time, a conch shell lands there. He likes it and picks it up. Then the sea sends him a whole lot more conch shells with a rush of waves.
Mu Dian stares in amazement and asks the sea, "Who are you?"
A chubby little girl with horns on her head walks out of the water. "I'm Long Bao."
Mu Dian looks at her horns and asks, "Are you a dragon?"
Long Bao nods. "Of course Long Bao is a dragon!"
"Where are your mom and dad?"
"My mom and dad went out to play. I came to work!"
Mu Dian looks at Long Bao curiously. "What kind of work do you do?"
Long Bao proudly pats her chest. "Serving the people!"
Through the livestream, the public learns that dragons really do exist in the world, and that one little dragon cub has signed a hundred-year indenture. Oh, no, sorry, a hundred-year work contract. She has given herself over to the government, and the internet erupts. Long Bao dominates the headlines across major websites that day, and the public demands updates about her work. We want to see how a dragon does her job!
Since Long Bao's identity can no longer be kept secret, they have no choice but to go along with public opinion and open accounts for her on all the major platforms, sharing her daily work life.
But the public soon realizes that these videos and posts aren't recording Long Bao's daily work at all. They're deliberately making her look bad.
A plate of oysters sits in front of Long Bao. She holds up her chubby little fingers and carefully counts, "One, two, three, four, five." Her supervisor asks, "Long Bao, have you finished counting?" Long Bao nods, confident, and answers loudly, "Yes! There are three." Her supervisor applauds. "Great job, Long Bao!"
In the photo, two spotless large bowls sit in front of Long Bao. She smiles adorably, with rice stuck to the corner of her mouth. The caption reads: This little worker is going to bankrupt the country. She eats two enormous bowls at every meal. At this rate, her salary won't cover it! Looks like we'll have to advance her pay for the next hundred years. That's enough, I'm off to print a new contract and make her sign another hundred years of indenture!
#LongBaoRunAway quickly shoots to the top of the trending list.
Just as the public starts thinking Long Bao is nothing more than a mascot, she receives a plea for help from City Y. A sudden downpour has hit the city, with rainfall surpassing the highest recorded level in ten years. Long Bao receives her orders and rushes to City Y. She gives it everything she's got. In the dark, heavy sky, the wind rises and the clouds disperse. Before long, she has helped City Y overcome its greatest crisis.
Long Bao, come make it rain in City A! It's hot enough to roast us!
Long Bao, come blow away the clouds in City B! We don't want to see them anymore!

Theme: Be a good person and obey the law.
Are you so reluctant to part with it, why are you crying before you see Long Bao's big golden bed?
The ending was unexpected, was it too short?
Caught off guard. The author's writing is quite good. Although I can't think deeply about it, it gives me the pleasure of reading a children's picture book.
? ? ? Is it over so soon? ?
