[Check out my completed novel next door, Love at First Sight with a Top Alpha, and my ongoing novel, The Empress Dowager Says She’s My Ex-Girlfriend. My upcoming novel, Green Tea on the Job, is at the very bottom. If you like them, tap the little star~]
A fishing-type top who thinks she has no feelings, but ends up taming her prey and accidentally turning herself gay VS a possessive top with a volatile personality who nearly goes dark, but loses because she’s afraid of her wife
Reading Guide:
1. One-on-one romance, focused on the bottom. The top is divided into fragments. The small worlds have bad endings, but the final ending is happy.
2. The bottom has no love for anyone at first. It takes many, many small worlds before she slowly realizes her feelings.
3. The characters’ values do not represent the author’s.
Si Nian is an NPC who plays the white moonlight in the System’s small worlds. After becoming self-aware, she follows the System from world to world to complete missions, hoping to obtain a real body in the real world.
Thinking she understands human nature and has cast off all feelings, Si Nian navigates the small worlds with ease. But she doesn’t know that taming is never a one-way game. As she tames her prey, she also tames herself.
Si Nian: “Monsters can never love anyone more than they love themselves, so love can never bring two monsters together. But pain can.”
Si Nian: “Just remember, pain will bring us together again.”

The Empress Dowager Says She’s My Ex-Girlfriend
Shen Yuezhang, the capital’s number-one good-for-nothing young lady.
Her great-grandfather, Shen Zhi, was young when he picked out the future founding emperor from a crowd of little boys playing in the mud. The two became sworn brothers.
Shen Yuezhang, descendant of a noble and meritorious family, met her bosom pals at the same age, when she was still playing in the mud: her foxlike friend, the orphan Liu Yun, and her doglike pal, the neglected Third Prince.
Ten years flew by. The little prince became the current emperor, and the orphan with no family or support became the current Empress Dowager. Only Shen Yuezhang became the capital’s current number-one unmarried older woman...
Tsk, something about this just isn’t right. Her great-grandfather swore brotherhood with the emperor and became a highly sought-after husband. How did she end up a hot potato instead?!
Later, Shen Yuezhang finally heard that word had come from the palace: the Empress Dowager had called Miss Shen her old flame!
The new emperor introduced a special imperial examination, and Shen Yuezhang was thrilled. On the day the results were posted, she brought the Shen family servants along to pick out a husband from among the successful candidates. Her only requirement was that he be good-looking!
So the burly Shen family servants caught the current Empress Dowager, who had slipped out of the palace in disguise!
The current Empress Dowager’s life is famous for its dramatic twists. Everyone says Emperor Jiande was her benefactor, since she went from slave to empress dowager.
When Emperor Jiande ascended the throne, he granted a general amnesty, freeing her from slavery.
When Emperor Jiande held a selection for his harem, she entered the palace as a candidate.
Before Emperor Jiande died, she rose from low-ranking concubine to Empress.
After his death, the Third Prince ascended the throne, and she became the most powerful woman in the palace: the Empress Dowager!
Rumor says the Empress Dowager is ruthless. Rumor says she frames loyal officials. Rumor says she rules the court like a woman usurping a man’s role. Rumor says she intends to seize the throne...
Liu Yun pays no attention to the rumors. The only one she admits is true is that, unable to bear the jealousy of having been married off in someone else’s place, the Empress Dowager secretly ruined every marriage prospect for Miss Shen.
That’s right. She’s lonely and cold in the palace. How could she let Shen Yuezhang enjoy a happy marriage outside it?
Bonus Scene:
Palace attendant: “Your Majesty, this is bad! Miss Shen and the Noble Consort are arguing in the imperial garden!”
The emperor, who was heading to the garden, immediately turns around: “Go get the Empress Dowager.”
Attendant: “But Your Majesty...”
Emperor: “I’ll stay out of the way. She swears like a sailor.”
Bonus Scene 2:
Miss Shen argues with one of the palace ladies, so the Empress Dowager punishes her by making her clean the study. A quarter of an hour later, the Empress Dowager’s personal attendant looks at the wet ink and scattered books in the study and gently urges her, “Miss Shen, even if no one’s watching, Her Majesty gave the order. You should at least make a show of doing it, shouldn’t you?”
Shen Yuezhang looks incredulous and points to the abacus on the table. “What do you mean, make a show of it? Can’t you see I’ve already put the abacus in order?”
The attendant is stunned, but the Empress Dowager looks entirely unsurprised.
“If it’s tidy, then it’s tidy. What would you like for dinner?”
As she speaks, their fastidious Empress Dowager closes an open book.
Attendant: “...”
Your Majesty, perhaps you should take a look at what you’re doing. Is this what you call tidying up?!
Later, new palace staff are taught a few special terms during their orientation. For instance, an abacus is also called “the study,” broken wonton soup is called “meat soup with noodles,” and the number “seventeen” is taboo in the palace.
[Foxlike beauty, tea-type top × carefree good-for-nothing bottom]
Reading Guide:
1. Happy ending, both leads have only been with each other, sweet and fluffy. Enjoy!
2. Silly and fun. This one definitely won’t be angsty (important!)
