Zhu Zhihan was the number one beauty in the cultivation world.

With skin like ice and bones like jade, white hair and a lovely face, she had only one flaw: she was sickly.

She took it all in stride. So what if she died of illness? She had adorable junior disciples, friends who would entrust each other with their lives, and a master who treated her well. What more could she ask for?

Then one day, the Medicine Sect took in a junior sister.

The new junior sister encountered danger outside and was poisoned by a strange toxin. To save her life, the master took Zhu Zhihan's spiritual roots to use as a medicinal catalyst.

She was tied to a cold jade bed, the chill sinking into her bones.

Her junior disciples said, "Eldest Senior Sister, you were going to die anyway."

Her friends said, "I'm tired of your hypocritical act. You're not fit to hold a candle to Siyue."

Her master said, "If your life saves Siyue's, at least you'll have died for a worthy cause."

Only then did she realize what a joke she had been.

Reborn on the day she was to become a disciple, she didn't hesitate for a moment. She joined the neighboring Saber Sect and became the disciple of Daoist Venerable Luanwu, the future great villain.

Luanwu was nothing like anyone Zhu Zhihan had ever known.

On her first day as a disciple, Luanwu said coldly, "You cling so desperately to life that you'll never amount to much. You might as well go elsewhere."

On her ninth day, she kept making mistakes in her saber practice. Luanwu bluntly told her that she wasn't suited to the Saber Dao, then corrected each of her mistakes without a trace of impatience.

On her forty-seventh day, Luanwu cut off the top of a mountain, seized a magic treasure that would benefit her health from a great demon, and tossed it to her casually. "That'll make up for your disciple's gift."

Everyone Zhu Zhihan had known in her previous life had seemed kind and treated her well, only for their true nature to reveal itself as poison.

Luanwu was the opposite.

She acted detached and cold, but what she gave was always substantial.

Zhu Zhihan couldn't help falling under her spell.

Later, her junior disciples and friends were reborn one after another.

The cultivation world discovered that the only disciple of Daoist Venerable Luanwu had become the talk of the town.

The Medicine Sect's most talented young twins presented her with top-grade spirit pills.

The arrogant daughter of the Heavenly Mirror Sect's sect leader followed close behind her, so obediently she looked like a tamed pet.

The Holy Maiden of the Joyous Union Sect, eyes red, swore an oath to the Heavenly Dao that she was devoted to Zhu Zhihan and would never betray her.

No one knew that these favored daughters of heaven could only watch their beloved, unattainable white moonlight lie in the arms of a red-clad saber wielder, cheeks flushed.

Zhu Zhihan's eyes glimmered. She pressed a kiss to Luanwu's lips, then looked back and spoke with icy indifference: "Who are you?"

Reader's guide:

1. Tsundere, unhinged master as the pursuer x gentle, cool, alluring receiver.

2. After being reborn, the eldest senior sister learns the saber, coughing up blood as she takes on ten opponents at once.
