My Beefy, Useless Teammate

Plot notes:

1. There are three types of identities in this story: Nightwalkers, Daywalkers, and Travelers. There are many original settings.

2. Combat ability is ranked from level 1 to 10. The heroine starts at level 4, and the hero at level 7.

As the sun's energy continued to weaken, humanity underwent a long process of evolution and unexpectedly discovered that rare minerals could accelerate human mutation. As a result, humanity divided into three identities: Daywalkers, Nightwalkers, and Travelers.

Ye Ziyun was a police officer specially appointed by the United Government, but during one mission, Gu Hui broke her ribs, leaving her honorably wounded.

As luck would have it, Gu Hui was the "suspect" she had personally sent to jail the day before.

She still remembered Gu Hui's sneer: "You're only level 4 and already out on a case? Aren't you afraid of dying at a murder scene, Officer Ye?"

Later, he was eating his words.

The United Government recruited high-level humans to form a team of ability users. Because Ye Ziyun was seriously injured and arrived late from the hospital, she was forced to team up with Gu Hui.

He thought Ye Ziyun was level 4 and a Traveler, so her combat ability probably wasn't great. So every time they went on a mission, he stood in front of her to protect her.

Later, he realized he was the weak one.

As everyone knows, there's a monster with an SS-level physique in the United Government. They once scaled a 30-story glass tower with their bare hands, ripped enemies apart, climbed sheer cliffs barehanded, and sprinted a full marathon to catch a group of bandits.

When Gu Hui heard the rumor, he spent a long time trying to figure out who this person was.

Until one mission, when Gu Hui was lying helplessly, gravely wounded, and saw the mark on Ye Ziyun's shoulder blade. He quietly lowered the hand that had been reaching to zip up her clothes.

So it turned out I was the clown all along.

He had thought Ye Ziyun was only a temporary teammate, but he never expected that one day she would become his strongest support.

With her life, she forged the strongest blood-red shield for the new humanity.

What is the world after death like?

Wen Lan believed that the universe recorded every person's merits and misdeeds after death. She also firmly believed that everyone's life was a top-secret file in the universe.

So after she was stabbed to death by a criminal while bravely coming to someone's aid, she successfully met the judge of life's deeds.

In the conference room, a man in a black suit held a cigarette in one hand and leafed through the ledger of her merits and misdeeds.

He narrowed his eyes and said through the drifting smoke, "Not bad. Your score is so high, you more than qualify for a higher-dimensional space. If you're lucky, you might even be assigned a small world to manage."

Wen Lan touched the wound that stretched across her abdomen and said calmly, "I want to go to the Entire Universe."

The man's hand stopped as he flipped through the documents. "That's interesting."

The Entire Universe contains all things, including the parallel universes people often talk about. Earth is a low-level magnetic energy body that can only accommodate three-dimensional life, while higher-dimensional energy bodies exist in the Entire Universe.

But how could a three-dimensional energy body like Wen Lan possibly know that the Entire Universe existed?
