The Empress and Her Useless Man

Li Azheng transmigrates to ancient times and discovers that she has become the reigning empress. But this country has nothing at all: from the start, she's forced to sign a humiliating treaty with a neighboring nation, which even sends over a discarded royal son as her prince consort.

Watching her ministers weep bitterly before her, Li Azheng, who had just died: "..."

"Your Majesty, if you die, who's going to pay back our debt to the nation of Qiong? Sob, sob~"

Li Azheng starts to worry. First, she frets that she can't get back to the modern world. Second, she's concerned that the country is impoverished and the people are living in misery. Third, she worries about her useless prince consort.

Watching the neighboring countries thrive through their reforms, she has a change of heart: Damn it, let's do this!

.

Huo Jingchen was once the war god of Wu. None of the small countries surrounding it could stand against the cavalry he led, until he was framed by Wu's court officials and became a cripple confined to a wheelchair.

Having grown up in Wu, a country where "men come first," he was furious when he heard he was to be "married off" to a female emperor. "A true man gives himself to his family and country. How could I become a woman's husband!"

But after he really was "married" to Qiong and saw the female emperor with his own eyes, Huo Jingchen clenched his fist and coughed twice, then pretended nothing was wrong as he told his subordinate, "Ahem, this woman isn't bad."

Later, his subordinate saw him alone in the garden, plucking flower petals: "She likes me, she doesn't like me, she likes me, she doesn't like me..."

His subordinate: "..."

I really believed your nonsense.
