Angst, angst, angst, angst!!!!

A medium-short story, around 100,000 characters.

Updates are irregular, probably?

A melodramatic angst story with lots of emotional push and pull. Read with caution if that's not your thing.

1. The setting is the IF timeline, with lots of original headcanons and an extremely unhinged Black Ranpo.

2. Everyone has an unrequited crush on someone else.

3. Everyone is out of character.

4. This is the product of a random brainwave. Please don't flame me if it's not your thing.

Synopsis:

The famous detective Edogawa Ranpo, heir to his father's title of "Clairvoyant," was once again working with the police to capture a bomber. But a mistake during their operation allowed the bomber to escape into an abandoned building.

Following the clues left at the scene, Ranpo found the bomber's dead body deep inside the building, as well as a wounded person with a gun, hiding in the shadows and watching him warily.

The person wore a wrinkled suit. His left shoulder was dislocated, and blood kept seeping from one of his eyes.

The mask on his face bore the emblem of an organization Ranpo had never seen before.

Edogawa Ranpo tried to talk him down, but because of his severe injuries, the man couldn't dodge Ranpo's attack and collapsed unconscious.

Ranpo removed the mask from his face.

Edogawa Ranpo's expression turned strange and grim.

It was his own face.
