[Genshin Impact] Wriothesley, Are You Afraid of Me Crossing the Line?

[Updates daily when ranking; 9 p.m. Updates at other times are for revisions.]

Andro had only taken a quick nap, but somehow she'd slept for ten whole years.

After vanishing for a decade, she'd not only become a missing person, but the Court of Fontaine had also confiscated all the property registered in her name.

With Andro left with nothing, her former boss, Fontaine's Iudex, Neuvillette, pointed her toward the best solution available right now.

"The Fortress of Meropide has just appointed a new administrator and needs some staff to coordinate with them. Would you be interested..."

"I would! I would! I would!"

But when she spotted the so-called administrator in the crowd, cold sweat immediately ran down her back.

Could someone explain when the little crybaby who used to follow her around as a child had become the boss of the Fortress of Meropide?

The Fortress of Meropide had been on edge lately. Rumor had it that the Duke, Wriothesley, had inexplicably developed insomnia. He wore a gloomy expression all day, surrounded by an oppressive air.

Everyone was afraid of making a mistake and touching a nerve, so they cut back on wandering around outside.

Even the guards fled in a panic whenever Wriothesley went for a walk, afraid he'd catch them and chew them out.

Wriothesley pinched the bridge of his nose, looking tired. "Tch, those guys."

No one knew the secret behind his insomnia. Only he knew that, in an endless cycle of nightmares, he was forced to help a certain silver-haired culprit complete one Fortress of Meropide task after another.

Until one day, he found traces of himself on something familiar.

"Huh? So it wasn't a dream after all..."

In the narrow space, Wriothesley cornered someone trying to flee. He raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? You look awfully familiar, miss. Come with me for a bit."

"You should know that making me angry isn't a good idea."

"Right, Andro-sis?"

[Reading Guide]

1. CP: Wriothesley [← He's an adult, and there's a fine line between love and lust. The Wriothesley story has its own limits!]

2. Apologies for any OOC moments. There are some personal headcanons and timeline adjustments.

3. Andro is not human.

4. Childhood friends, puppy turns into a wolfdog. No secondary CPs; all other characters are platonic.

5. Sweet little story. The author is short on words.

6. More to come if I think of anything.
