The God of War Can Take a Beating, but Can't Take the Heat

[The title will definitely change. The setting and many details are still undecided.]

On the battlefield, Shou is completely unhinged and ridiculously hard to kill. Even when he's covered in blood and his guts are practically falling out after being beaten by a horde of enemies, he can still turn the tables with barely a sliver of health left. One second before chopping off the enemy boss's head, he grabs the boss by the hair, grins, and says, "Ha! Didn't see that coming, did you? I just won't die."

Then he walks home alone over mountains of corpses, carrying a huge blood-soaked blade and humming a little tune as casually as if he were out for a stroll.

Despite being a naturally gifted killing machine who's tough as nails, he can never seem to get the upper hand in bed. Normally he's provocative and sharp-tongued, cutting down anyone who gets in his way. In bed, though, he's moaning, begging for mercy, and gasping for breath.

His husband is a bespectacled, refined intellectual with pale skin and a broad frame. He has a quiet, wholesome air about him, and even in bed he doesn't take off much. He wears soft knitwear that gives him a very husbandly look, yet it only takes a couple of moves for him to leave his assassin wife a complete mess. His long, smooth fingers are used to holding a pen and writing, unlike his wife's, which are rough with calluses from guns and old scars.

Those meticulously cared-for scholar's hands slip between the fingers of his wife's calloused hands, stroke the countless pale scars on her body, and politely kiss the scar at the small of her back. A faint scar is branded with a deep rose-colored kiss mark.

His wife's constitution is a mystery. The knife wounds on her body heal in three days, but the layers of kiss marks all over her remain blue and purple for more than a week. One of the world's unsolved mysteries.

As for whether her husband really is nothing but a refined scholar, that's still up in the air... The world's second unsolved mystery.
