[New story now underway: My Ex-Fiancé Novel's Male Lead Is Too Frail to Take Care of Himself. Rolling around and acting cute for your bookmarks, awooo~] Si Yunyi had worked hard for the Si family for eight years. At last, he retired before turning thirty, taking an advisory position with little to do and living off a generous share of the profits. On his first night of retirement, Si Yunyi dreamed that the world he lived in was a power fantasy novel called The Most Arrogant Live-In Son-in-Law. The novel's male lead, Chu Junlie, had lost his memory and been tricked into marrying into the Si family. For three years, he endured insult after insult, swallowing his anger and putting up with the family's contempt. Then his memories returned, and he made an instant comeback, slapping every member of the Si family in the face until they were left ruined and destitute. When Si Yunyi woke, he found that the events in his dream were coming true one by one. The Si family was now in the first stage of humiliating Chu Junlie, who stood before the younger members of the family like a piece of merchandise, waiting for them to pick him. Younger relative one: I want to swim in the ocean of knowledge. I don't have time to bathe in the river of love. Younger relative two: Sorry, I earn tens of thousands every minute. All I care about is making money; I don't have time for an arranged marriage. Younger relative three: The Chu family gave us this thing? You lot can have this country bumpkin! Younger relative four put on a performance of having seen through the world and entered a monastery on the spot. Looking at Chu Junlie, head bowed and eyes red, Si Yunyi stepped in and twisted younger relative three's ear. He had completely lost faith in this world. But when he lifted his head, he saw the power fantasy hero looking at him cautiously, the last glimmer of hope in his eyes. Si Yunyi: What?! ××× Everyone in Ningcheng was waiting for a laugh when the Si family's most aloof member, Si Yunyi, married a country bumpkin. In the first year of their marriage, the bumpkin was like Si Yunyi's shadow, following him everywhere. In the second year, Si Yunyi had raised him into a proper young man, and he became a model of gentlemanly conduct in Hong Kong City. In the third year, the bumpkin was found by the Chu family of the capital and became a young master of the capital's Chu family! Everyone's jaws dropped. As the power fantasy hero regained his memories, Si Yunyi contentedly took out the divorce papers. Chu Junlie gritted his teeth, tears falling as he looked at the man he revered like the moon. He forced down the madness in his eyes, tore off his shirt, and approached Si Yunyi step by step. Si Yunyi: ...Y-you, don't come any closer! A few things to know before diving in: A. This is entirely fictional. B. The leads are eight years apart, with the younger one as the top. C. Love triangle (crossed out), a setting where men can marry men. D. The plot is ridiculous, so feel free to set your brain aside for a while. Mao Tao will keep it safe for you (doge). The story will be going on sale on October 3, with 10,000 words released that day (dragged off to the crematorium). If you're interested, come join the fun (waves a little handkerchief)~ Xie Ting'an discovered by chance that the world he lived in was actually made up of two novels. The first was a win-her-back-after-the-divorce story. Its male lead was Xie Ting'an's nemesis, and its heroine was the girl next door who used to live beside him. The second was a harem novel about a man who breaks off an engagement. Its male lead was the only son of the first novel's nemesis and the girl next door. One heroine followed another, so many that Xie Ting'an couldn't count them all on his fingers. And Xie Ting'an himself was the vicious antagonist who appeared throughout both books. In the first half of his life, he was responsible for interfering with the leads' romance. In the second, he kept fighting with his nemesis's son, until he ended up penniless and was hit and killed by a car. Xie Ting'an: ...So I'm just the villain they keep using and abusing, huh?! By now, the first novel had ended, and the second had just begun. Xie Ting'an looked at his nemesis's newly adult son, who was cool, upright, and arrogant, already carrying himself like a male lead. But at this point in the story, the young man had lost his parents, unexpectedly gone blind, been surrounded by enemies, and been dumped by his fiancée. Seeing the male lead clutch his suit trousers and hoarsely call him "Uncle," Xie Ting'an felt the kid might still be salvageable. So he went against the story and not only took him in, but planned to use this time to train him into a good dog who was faithful in love and wouldn't go around causing trouble. ××× After nearly a year, the training had gone remarkably well, and the male lead no longer held any hostility toward him. On the night before the young man's parents returned to take him away, Xie Ting'an even drank quite a bit to celebrate. The next morning, Xie Ting'an woke to find himself and the male lead in the same bed. His waist and legs ached, and the marks on his body were shockingly prominent. The blind male lead sat innocently beside him, asking over and over: "A-Ting, you'll take responsibility for me, right?" "A-Ting, you taught me to be faithful in love. When are we going public?" "A-Ting, woof woof~" Theme: Keep striving through adversity. Don't give up. Coming soon: My Ex-Fiancé Novel's Male Lead Is Too Frail to Take Care of Himself.
