I'm stuck on the story, so updates will be every two or three days until it's complete. There's something going on at home recently, so updates will be every three days.
An overtime worker who slacks off from eleven in the morning until midnight is getting ready to change jobs. She hears the new position doesn't involve managing anything, and only requires her to supply spiritual power, making her a tool who gets a monthly salary.
The overtime worker thinks this sounds great: no responsibilities, free pay, and room and board included. Isn't that easier than her current job?
So the overtime worker happily takes the job and starts slacking off on her very first "day at work."
The swords: ? Where is she?
The overtime worker: ? Corruption? What does that have to do with me? Get to work, all of you! Work yourselves to 99! [Overwork until you're bald] or [Happy slacking]
Later on, the overtime worker becomes known as a weirdo among passersby: the type who clears all the rewards on the first day of an event, then slacks off for the rest of it.
Content warnings: The usual warnings apply.
The female lead transmigrated, but since she's such a slacker and works overtime every day, it isn't very obvious. She can't be bothered to interfere with the plot, so the crossover setting is really just background. The story is 95% swords.
Since this is a corrupted citadel, some characters will be OOC. Just putting that out there.
The author talks a lot! I love chatting in the author's notes, run while you can!
Slice of life, very much so: a plain, ordinary daily story about the overtime worker and the swords learning to get along [?]. No romance, at most familial affection. I couldn't be bothered to name the female lead, so just bear with it.
The swords who have appeared so far are only characters from the first two years. Don't ask why: the author's sword account is gone [for real], and I'm currently grinding hard on a new account.
Sneaking in a coming-soon title.
"Getting People to Work in a Mythology Game"
It all started with the accursed overtime.
Yuan Chu transmigrates, and a System flaps its little wings over to catch her. It tells her that she's ended up in the game she played before she died, as the game's GM.
As the world's only player, GM, and NPC, Yuan Chu can roam anywhere in the world and earn merit to buy anything she wants. Even living another life is no problem!
The only issue is... the world is still in a state of chaos. [The System looks guilty.]
Yuan Chu isn't interested in living another life as a corporate drone, but she still builds this world. Why? She created a few accounts to gain experience, all for the sake of a forced-love route with a complete collection.
After creating every deity she could remember, Yuan Chu sinks into thought as she watches the mortal world develop.
They say a day in heaven is a year on earth. Now there's a problem: the amount of rain clouds to distribute over the mortal world in a year has to be sorted out in a single day in heaven, and the dragon clan has been turned into spinning tops.
There's no need to mention the other departments. Yuan Chu hides on Mount Buzhou and thinks for a long time. Finally!
Hey, I've got an idea.jpg
Why can't she get something for nothing?
She gets right to it: Hand it over, you!
Long-silent legends begin circulating once more.
[Important] The main story takes place during the Warring States period.
The supporting-character list is in order of appearance. I've added a few because the page looked too empty; it doesn't include everyone.
Content warning: light daily-life scenes, slow burn, and descriptions of the gods' everyday lives. Please check the tags [pointing].
Another warning: I'll pick and choose from Investiture of the Gods and the Primordial World, and some characters will be presented in a tongue-in-cheek way instead of staying completely true to their original forms. After all, this is a game that's supposed to sell cards, so of course we'll show their best sides... I'll point out the playful reinterpretations in the author's notes.
Also, I've tried hard to research things, but if anything doesn't match, please let me know in the comments and I'll look into it and make changes. _(:зゝ∠)_
"Pretending to See Ghosts Is So Hard"
Fen Lun is a staunch materialist. Although she usually prays to gods and Buddhas, tells fortunes, studies feng shui, and gambles on fate, she has always firmly believed that ghosts simply cannot exist in this world!
But for the sake of her Japanese friend, who may have a delusional disorder, and to preserve their already fragile friendship, Fen Lun is forced to improve her acting skills at "seeing ghosts."
"Fen Lun, what do you see?"
Fen Lun looks at her friend, then at the empty patch of ground her friend is pointing to, and pretends to be terrified.
"Ah! There's a ghost here! How scary!"
5t5: "Look more carefully!"
Fen Lun: "Ah! A female ghost! How scary!"
5t5: "Seriously, that's a fly head."
Fen Lun: "..." Ugh, this is so hard.
Even so, her friend still isn't satisfied, always asking Fen Lun: Why do you believe in supernatural powers and monsters, but not ghosts?
Fen Lun: "Isn't that normal? Human potential is limitless. What's so strange about supernatural powers? Monsters aren't allowed to become spirits after the founding of the country. Those ones became spirits before it was founded, and things are difficult enough for them now. Don't be so strict, okay? Besides, I do believe in ghosts."
As she speaks, she instinctively swings her sword and stabs a Grade Three cursed spirit to death.
5t5, suspected of having a delusional disorder: "Seriously."
Content warning: OOC, OOC, OOC. Important things must be said three times.
The female lead has a Heavenly Restriction and can't see anything. From beginning to end, even though she worships gods, she doesn't believe in ghosts. She has her own explanation for every strange occurrence and is so stubborn that even 5t5 is speechless.
Theme: Build harmony and happiness
Stay Claw (*^ω^*), many of the comment sections in the fanbooks I follow are scolding jjxx (of course I am also scolding). Now when I look back at the completed fanbooks, many people are glad that the author has finished the writing. It feels like the kind of writing that is halfway through and then gets stuck. I kind of sympathize with a wife. When she was writing a hero before, the hero got into trouble, but now when she was writing a curse, the author went crazy ≥≤
When stewing this soup, don't use bones, use blanched lean meat to avoid oil. The soup is delicious, but the meat will be tougher and harder to chew. You can fish it out and process it again.
Damn, you won't be fooled, will you? No way, no way (shaking his head crazily to express disbelief)
Madam, have you passed the plot of 4.1? Damn it, Leosley is so awesome!!! Crazy heartbeat, I thought it was just like that, but after the plot, I almost had a nosebleed, those tone words are really!!! Awsl!!!
Just rely on favor and arrogantly rub your nose and face [roll your eyes] and scratch your bones, please honor your ancestors
It's not easy. After waiting for so long, I finally updated it slowly 🙂 Have you finally remembered your account and password? You ruthless guy😡You haven't updated or posted leave announcements for a long time, even if you have something to say, you can just say it! 🤬
Are you okay? Do you want to rest for a few more days?
Damn, please be a good friend of Onmyoji.
It's not that I'm mean, I just despise every Wuren Barbecued Pork mooncake equally, @BBQSiu (?ω?)
You can try it. Chop the pork into meat dumplings and add a little Codonopsis pilosula to stew the soup. The soup is light yellow and very sweet. If you want it to be more refreshing, you can add corn/yam/lotus root. My mother sometimes adds clams, saying it tastes sweeter, but I don't recommend it because it's too troublesome to chew the shells.
