[Touken Ranbu] Radiant Peach Blossoms

I am Taoyao Zhuohua, a blade forged in the late Tang dynasty. Or perhaps saying I was forged in the Heian period would be more familiar. My swordsmith was a Tang native, and in a way, the country across the sea is my homeland. The swordsmith had fled the war and secretly crossed over from that prosperous country. He did well here and had a wife and children. But the countryside had a shortage of everything except bandits. And since the swordsmith settled by the sea, there were plenty of pirates, too. So, for his safety, he forged me as a blade for protection. My blade pattern resembles peach blossoms, and he wanted something to remember the homeland he could never return to. So he shortened "The peach tree is lush, its blossoms radiant" to Taoyao Zhuohua. Clearly, he hadn't considered the language barrier between the two shores. My name ended up being quite a mouthful, as you could tell from the way his son kept biting his tongue. Because the swordsmith was exceptionally tall, I was originally an odachi. But then something happened. After he died, his beloved son sold me for money. I'll summarize what happened next, or this will get too long and bore everyone. In short, after changing hands again and again, I was repeatedly shortened and reforged. By now, everything about me had changed except for my peach-blossom blade pattern. I had become a tachi, and even if the swordsmith came back to life, he wouldn't recognize me. A fox came to me and asked me to help deal with something called the Time Retrograde Army. I agreed because I was bored. This was a good chance to possess my manifested spirit and observe humans, to find a little amusement. To that end, I needed to make myself into a good sword.
