The Red and Black Personalities Are Fighting Again Today

[The blurb and the story are two different things]

[The blurb is a liar. Saying the story is not at all like the blurb would be an understatement. The blurb looks like a plot-driven story, but the actual story is all tangled-up feelings. I haven't changed it because I can't think of a new one.]

[I'm Takei. I'm a little crazy and I like Gin. Click to read about Gin and me loving and fighting each other, with amnesia, misunderstandings, and an on-again, off-again relationship.] (This is the real blurb.)

There are two other personalities in my brain, so counting me, there are three of us.

One is the older brother. He's on the side of the good guys and thinks every day about how to leave the Organization or become a top-notch undercover agent. He even wants to help the Police Academy crew, even if it costs him his life.

One is the younger brother. He's on the side of the bad guys and thinks every day about how to take down Rum and become the Organization's second-in-command. He also wants to get rid of every undercover agent and has always wanted to deal with the little shinigami detective ahead of time.

I'm the one in the middle, the obedient second child. I take things as they come, and do whatever they tell me to.

Probably because I'm the only one who can control this body for long periods, they never drag me into their arguments, even though they fight every day.

But one day, they argued so fiercely they nearly came to blows. My head felt like it was about to explode. I couldn't breathe, and everything spun before my eyes.

Even a mild-mannered person has a breaking point. I finally snapped!

I slapped the table and announced, "You two can argue all you want. I'm done. I'm going on strike."

So I left the Organization, changed my name, and started living a quiet little life of my own.

The third one wasn't happy because I left the Organization and wasn't dark enough. The eldest wasn't happy either, because I was making money from all sorts of people in the gray zone and wasn't righteous enough.

I didn't care what they thought. I was going to live my own life. But why were all the people I'd helped or screwed over before suddenly coming to find me?

"Excuse me, are you Takei Sosuke?" A black-haired woman in her twenties knocked on the door of the back-alley clinic with her younger sister.

Takei Sosuke is the eldest, not me. So I answered, "I'm not."

But she didn't believe me. She rented the place next door and came by every day with tasty food and drinks, saying she wanted to thank me for helping her before.

"Are you Takei Yuma?" A blond, dark-skinned man kicked the door open, looking furious.

Takei Yuma is the third one, not me. So I answered, "I'm not."

He didn't seem to believe me either. He swung a fist at me, gritting his teeth like he wanted to tear me limb from limb.

After them came a sunglasses-wearing cop and his childhood friend, a black-clad man with long silver hair and his underling, and a squinty-eyed guy who claimed to be a graduate student...

Please, I just want to live a quiet, peaceful life!
