I Ran Into Tentacles and Fought with All My Might, but Couldn’t Resist

Ye Yiqing likes monsters, but he always sends them off to the research institute.

Until one day, the institute says, "We're out of money. Please take this one home."

So he takes home an S-class monster that looks pitiful.

The little monster eats a lot. Ye Yiqing works day and night, earning money and hunting to support them both. After all his hard work, the shapeless little monster grows more than a dozen tentacles, then runs away.

Devastated, Ye Yiqing decides never to pick up a random monster again.

A year later, at his superior's request, he takes a monster along to run some tests.

That night, transparent tentacles fill Ye Yiqing's dreams, winding around him and squeezing until he can barely breathe. A faint voice demands, "You said you would only ever love me."

That was just a moment of passion. How could he take it seriously? Of course he was always going to like the next one. Ye Yiqing thought.

He wakes up to find the transparent tentacles really wrapped around him. A strange young man stands before him, then calls him, "Master."

"?"

Wait, if you're calling me Master, then listen to me and let go of those tentacles! Stop it! Aah!
