A Necromancer's Everyday Social Disasters

The necromancer Hill uses force to unite a continent torn apart by endless war and impose peace. Then he goes to sleep. When he wakes up, ten thousand years have passed, and he has become a legendary figure.

But the continent has changed into something he can't understand.

For instance, every so often he comes across one of his statues, with offerings laid out in front of it. Students pray to him to help them pass their magic exams.

For instance, students of every race, from elementary school to university, can't escape his influence, no matter what subject they're studying. His name follows them everywhere, and they both love and hate him.

And then there's the fact that his papers are popular with both professors and students. Scholars have dug up everything about his life, even his household records, and thoroughly researched every aspect of him, from how he spoke and behaved to how he lived and dressed.

Of course, the most outrageous thing is that the novel he casually wrote while traveling the continent in his youth, then left unfinished, is still making people demand an ending ten thousand years later?!

What kind of mortifying experience is this?!

Hill's response: Don't stop me. I can sleep for another ten thousand years.

Modern Western fantasy.
