The Heretics Stolen by an Evil God

Ethan was the youngest priest in the Temple of Light: refined, elegant, reserved, and the most faithful follower of the God of Light.

The evil god Samuel envied the God of Light for having such a loyal believer, so He took on various human forms to tempt the priest into abandoning the light and falling into darkness.

But Ethan's faith was unwavering. He would never betray his god.

The evil god, wicked to the very core, killed the God of Light and took His place.

From then on...

By day, He was the God of Light whom Ethan respected and worshiped, gentle and kind.

By night, He was the evil god who brought Ethan endless humiliation, cold and obsessive.

Ethan had been taught by the temple since childhood to offer his soul to the God of Light. He thought he would live out his days holding fast to this supreme faith, until one day, he unexpectedly received a response from his god.

The God of Light had been ambushed by the evil god and gravely wounded. He needed a devout believer's sacrifice, and Ethan offered himself without hesitation to heal Him.

The evil god pursued him and demanded to know the God of Light's whereabouts. To protect the God of Light he loved, Ethan was forced to give himself to the evil god. On every humid night, he plotted how to kill the evil god and bring back the light.

Ethan loved the God of Light he worshiped with all his heart, and hated the shameless evil god just as fiercely.

Until one day, Ethan discovered by chance that the God of Light he loved and the evil god he hated were one and the same.

He set the temple ablaze.

From then on, his faith crumbled, and his loyalty was gone.

The temple's youngest priest died in the flames.
