I Fled and Got Pregnant with the Enemy Emperor's Child

1.

Jiang Lianzhi has served the Crown Prince of Li for many years. His final assignment is to infiltrate the enemy kingdom's palace and assassinate Yin Shuyu, Emperor of Yan.

The Crown Prince of Li promises him that the moment Yin Shuyu dies, Jiang Lianzhi will be free.

So Jiang Lianzhi infiltrates the enemy palace as a guard, waiting for the chance to assassinate the Emperor of Yan.

2.

Yin Shuyu is the Emperor of Yan, cool and dignified, with the bearing of polished jade. The most scandalous thing he has ever done is take a young guard to his bed.

On a snowy day, his imperial carriage passes the palace wall. Through layer upon layer of curtains, he sees the young guard kneeling in the snow with his eyes lowered.

Everyone else fades into the background, drained of color. All he sees is the young man kneeling in the snow. His heart stirs, captivated at first sight.

The young emperor sits high in his imperial carriage, his gaze dark and inscrutable, his thoughts impossible to read.

The next day, Jiang Lianzhi is transferred to the emperor's chambers.

3.

To assassinate the emperor, Jiang Lianzhi deliberately seduces him. At long last, he manages to get into the emperor's bed, but before he can make his move, his identity as a spy from an enemy kingdom is exposed.

He has no choice but to pack up and run, only to be captured by Yin Shuyu, who personally leads the troops in pursuit.

Jiang Lianzhi is imprisoned in the dungeon. Yin Shuyu comes to see him with a sword in hand. Jiang Lianzhi assumes that Yin Shuyu, who despises betrayal, will personally cut him down.

But the lofty emperor merely raises his chin with the tip of his sword.

The sword tip slides lower, then...

cuts through his belt.

4.

Yin Shuyu has always hated betrayal by those close to him. Yet the young guard he cherished with all his heart betrayed him without hesitation.

He captures the man and intends to kill him, but in the end he can't bring himself to do it. Instead, he chains him to the bed, exacting revenge and humiliating him to his heart's content, night after night, keeping him locked away from the world.

Yin Shuyu thinks he'll never forgive Jiang Lianzhi. But when Jiang Lianzhi runs away again and vanishes without a trace,

he sits in a pavilion, polishing the knife the man once used, keeping watch alone until dawn.

Later, the Emperor of Yan travels incognito to Jiangnan. He passes through a small village and borrows lodging at a local home. When the door opens, the person standing there is none other than the young guard who escaped years ago.

Reader's guide:

1. Mpreg.

2. Probably a melodramatic but sweet romance.

3. One-on-one, happy ending.
