While Lou Zong is working, the little blind man accidentally opens some green-tinted video.

Suggestive sounds fill the entire study.

The little blind man instinctively covers his own eyes, then rushes over to cover Lou Zong's eyes too.

The little blind man says timidly, "Mr. Lou, I can't see. I didn't do it on purpose."

Lou Zong stares at his blank, unseeing eyes, his gaze deep and inscrutable.

Everyone assumes that Lou Zong must despise the clueless blind man, so they don't take Ruan Jinyi seriously.

At a banquet, they lead the cruel teasing, making the little blind man bump into Lou Zong while he's talking to someone. Wine spills all over the man's expensive shirt.

Someone fans the flames: "You useless thing, can't you see?"

But in the next moment, the man pulls the bewildered little blind man into his arms and glares sinisterly at the speaker.

"Say that again."

Later, everyone in Ningcheng knows that the powerful Lou family's young master has a little wife at home, his precious darling, and no one is allowed to touch him.

Ruan Jinyi's stepbrother has told him since childhood that he's ugly enough to frighten people when he goes out at night. The little blind man believes him, and is relieved to hear that Mr. Lou is supposed to be frightening-looking too.

It eases his worries, and whenever he gets the chance, he remembers to comfort Lou Zong.

The little blind man's voice is gentle and sweet.

"Don't be sad. We're born with the faces we have, and we can't choose them, but we can work hard to become excellent."

"Besides, cosmetic surgery is so advanced these days. With your status, you can surely find the best plastic surgeon."

"And I'm blind, so I won't dislike you no matter what you look like."

Lou Zong raises an eyebrow.

Later, instead of finding a plastic surgeon, Lou Zong finds him an eye doctor.

Ruan Jinyi can see again, and the tall, handsome man has him backed up against the headboard.

"Yiyi, you should take a good look."
