Your Majesty Seems to Truly Love Me

Song Zhixian placed first in the imperial examinations at eighteen, becoming the top scholar personally appointed by the emperor. A prodigy in his youth, he rose to the highest official rank in just five years.

All the officials at court said, "Chancellor Song is His Majesty's indispensable pillar. No one in the land can replace him."

Until Song Zhixian was framed and ended up in bed with the emperor, whose station was as exalted as his wealth.

When Song Zhixian woke, his body was covered in bruises and red marks, as if a rabid dog had mauled him. He fled the palace in the middle of the night and returned to his residence, sitting in silence until dawn.

Song Zhixian knew full well that the emperor's dignity must be protected. Such a scandal must never come to light.

He picked up his brush and submitted a memorial, claiming ill health and requesting permission to retire and return home soon. He begged the emperor to grant him this favor.

The emperor did grant his request. An imperial decree arrived at the Song residence that very day.

Permission granted. He. May. Enter. The. Palace. To. Recuperate.

Song Zhixian: ?

-

There was no defying an imperial command, so Song Zhixian entered the palace to recuperate for a while. But the longer he stayed, the stranger things became.

Why was his belly getting bigger by the day?

-

Xiao Chun ascended the throne at fifteen. During his ten years as emperor, he ushered in the prosperous Longjing era. He worked diligently to govern and cared deeply for his people, making him a rare and worthy ruler. That was, until he ended up in bed with his own chancellor one night.

He thought things couldn't get any worse, but apparently they could.

Because he found he couldn't take his eyes off Song Zhixian.

Lord Song's waist was so slender.

Lord Song's skin was so fair.

Lord Song's hands were so soft.

Lord Song...

But Song Zhixian's health kept deteriorating. On the day Xiao Chun decided to grant his request to retire and return home, he called in a renowned physician for one last examination.

Song Zhixian had made his peace with life and death. "Your Majesty needn't worry about me. Life and death are up to fate..."

Renowned physician: "Your Majesty! It's a, a joyous pulse!"

Song Zhixian: ?

Xiao Chun: ...?

A true case of fortune resting with Heaven.
