The Tale of Shiqu

It's been a year and a half. Ichikawa, when are you going to update?! Happy New Year! The blurb begins here "What's your name?" "Kaguya." "Are you Princess Kaguya from the moon?" "No... I'm a sinner from the moon." "According to those ornaments, my kind are called 'Lunarians.'" A gathering of every filthy, tainted soul in the world. The dregs left behind by human history. An immortal, undying, sinful people who long for release, will stop at nothing to get what they want, and can drag even the merciful Buddha down into hell. The place I went to such lengths to escape. "Then why do you want to leave?" "Because Princess Kaguya eventually returned to the heavens. Because they're my people." "Because humans and Lunarians are no different." Heartless bones, selfish souls. Every tragedy and vice inherited from the human origin of their kind. Different paths, much the same destination. "Don't look back. For after countless ages have passed and six planets have fallen, whether we act or not, we will meet again." The blurb ends here Ideas I might write about: [An oiran who appears once every thirty years and a caged songbird] [A magical girl and a gem enthusiast watching from the sidelines] [A witch who froze time and a visitor from the future] [...Something in a similar style, but I haven't decided yet...] I don't know how much I'll write, but I'll write as much as I can. Whether it's healing or depressing is up in the air, but it's probably the latter. 2022.03.19 Theme: The old society turns people into ghosts.
