[Crossover] The Gossiping Great Serpent Sends Soul Orbs Online

“Born different, against my will.” I don’t know why I turned into an evil god, either. “There’s no place for you here anymore.” Even if I’ve been sealed away, I still have to say it: Takamagahara is boring. “In the narrow passage between the worlds of yin and yang, there is neither life nor death.” There’s a reason I love gossip. Beep, System notification: Your friend [Heian-Kyo’s Strongest Gossipmonger, the Gossipy Serpent] is online! #Why Has the Strongest Clan Suddenly Gone Low-Profile? # A certain Kitchen King: “Hah, I have seven swords just like him!” The Gossipy Serpent: “But you only let him guard your back.” Don’t ask. The answer is that his wife ran away. #Why Is the Mountain Lord No Longer Acting Haughty? # A certain fox: “He was the one who pestered me and gave me a name!” The Gossipy Serpent: “You were grinning so hard your gums were showing.” Don’t ask. The answer is that you totally fell for him! There’s also the strongest songstress in both worlds, the supermodel who terrifies lighters, the last lonely old folks in Fox Village, and so on and so forth... And the grandpas, grandmas, big brothers, little brothers, and little ancestors from the neighboring production... Hello? Weren’t you all swords? The Serpent [icy]: You people from Heian-Kyo sure know how to have fun. The Serpent [excited]: I never thought I’d see the day I’d ship a couple with the bald aunties. The Serpent [so startled the bamboo rat fell out of its paws]: What’s going on? Why is this ship about to sink again? Bring me my Life Needle! The Serpent [determined]: Help me up! I still have scales... I’m not bald yet... The unfortunate great Onmyoji who summoned the evil god: “...” I’m bald! Content warnings: 1. The main story begins with the Takamagahara arc. There are lots of original settings; please don’t nitpick the details. 2. The writing style differs from the blurb. It gets dark and disturbing at times, with shards of glass in your mouth and knives hidden in the sugar. 3. I follow the original work and won’t break up established couples. The souls are only sent to save people at the very end, so there’s no Life Needle or anything like that... 4. To repeat, please don’t nitpick the details. I can’t write it exactly like the original, thanks for understanding. Without my own settings, this story wouldn’t exist, so please keep that in mind. 5. The author is fragile. No comments means no motivation, so please leave a comment for the little cuckoo! [furious cuckoo noises]! Theme: Good and evil have no sides; hell is empty.
