Time management: nailed it.

Day after day, the kitten got better and better at managing his time, while the two-legged people grew more and more attached to this ownerless little furball. They even came to believe they were the only ones who could save their sweet little darling...

Then the capital planet announced its first-ever Fluffball Competition.

Kitten: ...The heavens are out to get meow!!!

The night before the competition,

a certain prison warden, a certain research institute director, and a certain marshal each picked up the kitten and said with doting smiles, "Baby, you’re sure to bring home the trophy for Daddy tomorrow."

"..."

The kitten, on the verge of being found out, choked up and stared in despair.

This baby really can’t do it!!!
