After Yokohama and Gotham Merged

[Special Note] This is a crossover pairing characters from different works. The characters have sharply conflicting positions and values, and some plot points involve intense conflict. But they’ll end up absolutely crazy about each other and overcome every obstacle to be together. Please read with caution if you can’t accept that. This is an anime-style city located at a coastal port. The people here are simple and honest, and talented individuals abound. Armed gang fights and superpowered crimes may be late, but they’re never absent. The authorities are incompetent, so private detectives have to solve the cases. The city is often hit by villains’ area-of-effect attacks. Every so often, the entire cast gets wiped out, only to be saved once more. It is rife with filth, violence, chaos, unrest, crime, and inequality. Its wealth and capital are stained with blood, yet people are still willing to give everything to protect the city. Darkness takes root in this land, and darkness also protects this city. So where is “this”? Student A and Student B finished the question, put their papers together, and began comparing answers. One paper said: Yokohama. The other said: Gotham. One day, the two cities merged. A certain CEO who’d skipped work stepped out of Wayne Tower, looked up, and saw five landmark Port Mafia buildings across the street. A certain Agency employee who’d gone downstairs to buy coffee ran into the neighboring fan club staging a mass prison break. More urgently, they had been cut off from all contact with the outside world. At that moment, a certain jewel thief, whose name he preferred not to disclose, happened to be passing by, grumbling as he surveyed the area after sending out a calling card. He had been trapped along with them. >>> A certain caped knight: My beloved is from this Gotham. A certain Port Mafia boss: My beloved is from this Yokohama. #Gotham and Yokohama have merged# #And so, a new love rival has appeared# A certain Yokohama lock-picking champion: Beautiful Phantom Thief, would you like to die with me? A certain heartbreaker: What a coincidence. I happen to have a jewel here that can grant eternal life. Want to try it? #Same lock-picking king, same life sentence, same habit of flirting everywhere# #Just how many character tropes have we collided with# >>> *It’s really a large-scale disaster story about surviving in a completely sealed-off city. It might seem silly, or it might not, but it really is a serious story. The silliness is just the author’s personal preference. *There are a lot of characters, with almost the entire Yokohama cast and the entire Gotham cast appearing. It’s an ensemble story, and the main CPs get about equal page time, so the perspective tags are unclear. *The author is an ultimate chaos-loving shipper who enjoys pairing characters across franchises. The main CP is Batman x Mr. Mori; the secondary CP is Dazai x a certain white-clad Phantom Thief (mostly in the later story); Wonder Woman x Koyo (in the extra chapters only). There are also a few canon GL/BG pairings. #A true warrior dares to ship the most outrageous pairings# #They’re only one introduction away from getting married# *OOC is unavoidable in fanworks, especially with DC. It’s a long-running IP with many titles, and characterizations vary in focus and interpretation across different works and periods. It’s perfectly normal for people to understand the characters differently. If we get along, great; if not, no hard feelings. Thank you. *The story covers all aspects of both cities, especially some of the infrastructure and development, so there will be lots and lots and lots of original worldbuilding. Please understand, and don’t treat my headcanons as canon and argue over them. *The plot is basically unrelated to the original works. If you recognize the characters, you’ll be able to follow along. *The following are personal triggers for the author. Comments containing these will be deleted: 1. Connecting the literary figures to real people, real places, or real events. 2. Criticizing the no-kill rule. One last time: the very first line of this blurb explains the story clearly. You’re free not to like the worldbuilding in my crossover or the pairings I ship. That’s completely fine; it’s your choice. But don’t post that in my comment section. [I’m writing this story to ship the CP]. How could I pair characters across works without a crossover? What else would I write if not their romantic entanglements? Sorry, but I’m going to write them loving each other to death :) Theme: Some things are worth protecting at any cost
