Even in a Manga World, We Have to Fall in Love!

Blurb:

1.

As a fictional-character lover, Jiang You has only three things in her life: obsessing over her fictional crushes, collecting merch, and drawing fan art to feed the fandom.

As for dating?

Jiang You: No way. No one in the world could ever measure up to my fave.

Until the first day of school, when Jiang You spots Zhou Yuchuan in the crowd. White shirt, black pants, broad shoulders, long legs, chiseled features, and a profile that looks exactly like her favorite character.

Jiang You: I must be seeing things. My fave has come to life.

2.

Zhou Yuchuan is the school's famously unattainable heartthrob, known for his scheming nature.

Jiang You refuses to believe the rumors. She boldly pursues him and wins him over, only to find out that his sharp tongue spares no one.

After another argument, Jiang You storms out. Late at night, she vents to her best friend on the street:

“He actually said my fave's cat ears were childish!”

“He won't even admit my fave is the most handsome person in the world!”

“And the worst part is, he actually said my fave looks just like some random guy!”

“I want to break up! Right now! This instant!”

After getting it all off her chest, Jiang You suddenly feels a chill run down her back. She turns around and finds someone standing behind her, his face dark with anger.

Zhou Yuchuan's voice is colder than the first hailstorm of winter:

“Would your fave get up at five in the morning to go to a convention with you?”

“Would he go out with you at noon in forty-degree heat to cosplay and take photos?”

“Would he worry you'd run away from home at night, then follow you all the way while you yelled at him?”

The more Jiang You hears, the guiltier she feels. Shivering from the cold, she still stubbornly asks, “So what? What are you trying to say?”

The next second, a large coat lands on her shoulders, and Jiang You falls into a familiar, warm embrace.

Zhou Yuchuan buries his face in the crook of her neck. Usually so aloof, he sounds almost aggrieved as he says:

“So, until you understand that I'm better than that guy in every way...”

“I won't agree to a breakup.”
