My next novel, She Is the Villain's Darling, is open for preorders! Blurb below.
Lin Wan transmigrates into a novel where the heroine is reborn. The heroine has a golden finger and endless good fortune, like a walking lucky charm. The vicious supporting female character makes trouble and frames her, going out of her way to oppose the heroine, and ultimately meets a disgraceful and tragic end.
And Lin Wan is that vicious supporting character.
Lin Wan: "...Heh."
She tears up the script. The male lead and all the other men can stay out of her way. Don't get between her and her plan to cling to someone powerful.
Gu Tingzhao: "Clinging to me won't come cheap. Think about what you're willing to pay."
Lin Wan: "...Would I count?"
--
The young marquis of the Gu family is sickly. Living to eighteen is already a blessing from Heaven. Everyone, including his parents, is waiting to see when he'll die. Only Lin Wan takes his hand and tells him, "You'll live a long, long life, and you'll live better than anyone else."
Later, the young marquis lives longer and longer, and thrives more with each passing day. He gains such power that no one dares offend him, and he spoils the peasant girl until she's the apple of his eye.
P.S. This is a fictional setting. Please don't overanalyze the history.
Warning: Some side characters have BL storylines.
She Is the Villain's Darling
Blurb:
When the Chancellor's residence was confiscated, Mu Sheng was already prepared to die.
But that night, she was smuggled out of the Court of Judicial Review and sent in a sedan chair to Prince Chen's residence, where she became his only concubine.
Early the next morning, Prince Chen, Zhao Xun, pointed to the memorial tablet on the table and made her kneel.
He said, "Wan'er is my wife, and you are my concubine. Serve tea to Wan'er."
Mu Sheng looked at the name written on the tablet, her expression complicated.
How had she not known she was married to him?
Mu Sheng transmigrated into a book. According to the System's instructions, she became the villain's childhood crush, offering him warmth and care to thaw his heart after the world had bullied him relentlessly. This was meant to prevent the human tragedy of one man slaughtering an entire city.
She dutifully completed her mission, dying at the hands of the vicious supporting character. She thought she had done enough and could move on to the next world, but when she opened her eyes again, she was still here.
As luck would have it, she had become the vicious supporting character who accidentally killed Zhao Xun's beloved.
Mu Sheng: This is awkward.
In the original novel, Zhao Xun hated Mu Sheng for the death of his beloved, yet he kept appearing before her because of her somewhat similar appearance.
Zhao Xun: "Mu Sheng, you're just a substitute. You'll never take her place. Stop dreaming."
Later, Zhao Xun would climb over the wall every night and crouch by her window, asking softly,
"Shengsheng, when can I let myself dream a little? Even just a little?"
When Zhao Xun was young, he loved someone so deeply that he wanted to place the finest things in the world at her feet.
Later, she died, and the light in his eyes vanished with her. His world was still consumed by darkness.
But one day, his light returned.
He resented her for leaving without a word and wanted to torment her every day, yet he loved her too much to lay a finger on her.
Theme: Cherish the present. What you have is happiness.
It feels like the male protagonist fell in love too suddenly. Why would such a big man like the female protagonist, a peasant girl, with no experience at all?
Ah, Gu Er actually and Wei
Jinjiang's novel writing style is so good that he loves Qimao
I originally wanted to check out the comments section, but I didn't expect that there were only three comments including me.
