The Family We Mistakenly Joined in the Nineties

Lin Xia hates Jiang Huai the most.

They both want to be number one, and neither will yield to the other.

Throughout their three years of high school, they are always at each other's throats.

Until one chance encounter brings their families together...

"Lao Jiang, why does this girl look so much like I did when I was young?"

"Lin Haojun, is this the son you left behind somewhere?"

Both Lin Xia's mother and Jiang Huai's mother voice their suspicions.

A month later, the families get the results: the babies had been switched at birth.

The Lin family says, "We've raised our Xiaxia for seventeen years..."

The Jiang family says, "We've loved and cared for Ah Huai for seventeen years too..."

So the two families decide to keep things as they are for now and visit each other as relatives.

Lin Xia never imagined her archenemy was actually her father's biological son.

But!

Lin Xia: "We're not going to be brother and sister. I'm going to be top of the class."

Jiang Huai: "Even if we're biological siblings, we can still compete fairly. First place is mine."

They attend the same university and major in the same subject.

Every winter and summer vacation, they buy tickets home together.

Lin Xia thinks they'll always be archenemies at odds with each other, maybe with the added title of unrelated siblings from different families.

Until one night, when she's on her way back to the dorm after a group discussion.

Jiang Huai corners her.

"He's flirting with other girls and two-timing you."

"He's not worth liking."

"I'm better at studying than he is, I'm stronger, and I'm better-looking. We know each other inside out, and I won't lie to you."

Lin Xia: "?"

Jiang Huai: "Lin Xia, could you like me?"
