I Became a Stunning Official Thanks to the Emperor's Favor

Tang Yin was a low-ranking fifth-grade official in the capital, with an easy job and little to do. After becoming his superior's scapegoat in a factional dispute, he was inexplicably toyed with by the newly enthroned emperor. From then on, he kept getting demoted further and further.

He was demoted for having a meal with a friend, for getting drunk, for falling ill, and even for marrying off a maidservant. He was utterly bewildered by all the demotions, but that dog of an emperor always found some strange excuse to promote him again.

Tang Yin was demoted one day and promoted the next, only to be demoted again the day after that. When the endless cycle was about to drive him mad, he finally snapped.

"I'm done! I'm resigning!"

The dog emperor wore a triumphant expression and gave him a devilish smile. "Then how about coming to the palace and becoming my empress, my dear subject?"

Tang Yin: "!!!"

A mischievous, kind-tempered bottom who loves courting death and pretending to be sick vs. a demanding top whom everyone fears, living or dead.

One-on-one, doted on and never abused. The plot has a light, freewheeling style, with romance as the focus and court intrigue as a side dish. If you're not a fan of a relaxed approach to plot logic, please move along. Thank you!

Content warning: The top really is incredibly demanding, hahaha, and will put the bottom through all kinds of trouble. The bottom is always convinced the top is going to kill him, but can't help courting death anyway.

Master Tang, teary-eyed and furious: Damn author, thanks a lot! This is way too challenging for me!

The damn author: My smile is going absolutely damn wild!

Theme: Work hard and stay cute.
