New book, The Wolfish Beauty, please add it to your reading list~
The year Chu Baiyu schemed to make Pei Yuchuan give up his power and leave the capital, the Great Zhou fell, and his parents were murdered. From the Crown Prince, second only to the emperor and above all others, The Outcast became a prisoner of his own uncle.
To avenge himself and reclaim everything that had once been his, he escaped from his uncle and humbled himself, playing the victim as he went to seek help from the young General Pei, whom he had once framed and manipulated. Pei had lost his military command and a leg, and now farmed in the countryside.
Pei Yuchuan had once been a heaven-blessed prodigy, the Great Zhou's bravest and most skilled general. He had lost his leg saving Chu Baiyu, and hated him with a burning passion. With revenge and a little cruel amusement in mind, he took Chu Baiyu in.
Who could have known that the beauty would be arrogant and spoiled, incapable of doing anything right? He couldn't wash clothes or cook, and even went and got hurt while gathering herbs on the mountain. Every time, Pei Yuchuan's heart softened and he felt sorry for him. Gradually, he wanted to tame this fierce, untamed beauty, and began alternating a slap with a sweet treat.
But under the beauty's enticing disguise, Pei Yuchuan lost his soul and his heart before he even realized it.
So, to help the man he loved avenge his family and country and reclaim the throne, Pei Yuchuan dragged his crippled leg onto the battlefield to fight for his life. He stormed the palace alone, willing to give his life to protect Chu Baiyu.
Yet that once-proud, fragile beauty transformed into a vicious, fickle wolf. He plotted at every turn, used Pei Yuchuan to seize the military command of the Pei household, and even got Pei's brother killed. Then he trampled on Pei Yuchuan's defiant bones and ascended the throne.
Only when he was on the brink of death did Pei Yuchuan finally see the beauty's true face. He gave a bitter smile. "Chu Baiyu, you're a heartless, ungrateful wolf. I shouldn't have saved you back then."
Chu Baiyu remained expressionless. "Pei Yuchuan, I'll repay what I owe you in the next life."
Pei Yuchuan was utterly broken. "No. There won't be a next life for us."
Just as everyone believed Pei Yuchuan was dead and his bones had long since rotted away, he suddenly appeared on the night of Chu Baiyu's birthday and tormented him until he wished he were dead...
From then on, the two of them were bound together in a cycle of ruin, unable to escape each other in life or death.
A devoted, loyal, capable gong with impeccable roots and a deep love for his partner VS an obsessive, gloomy, hot-tempered shou who never backs down and is utterly scummy.
Content warning: The shou's first time is not with the gong. Those who know, know.
The gong is a virgin!!!
An old-school, melodramatic dog-blood story about chasing your husband to the crematorium.
1. Everyone is a scummy shou VS every gong is an absolutely perfect lover (ahem, everyone stand up straight and take your places).
2. The shou is scummy. If you can't accept that, move along; don't flame. The author's writing is terrible, so if you don't like it, move along; don't flame.
3. The gong is devoted, but he won't let the shou walk all over him. Their love-hate relationship and mutual torment are all part of the fun. Anyway, it has a happy ending.
Three years ago, a locked-room murder in Wuchang City shocked the entire country. An investigation and the collection of evidence at the scene revealed that the case was connected to seven other unsolved cases involving wronged victims. The people found dead in the locked room were the families of the innocent victims in those seven cases. They gave their lives and shed their blood to clear the names of the people they loved.
When this makes us question the very meaning of fairness, and arguments that criminals are innocent and victims are to blame cause the scales of justice in our hearts to waver, we may even lose the courage to trust our own eyes. Then it becomes a force that stirs and distorts our emotions, driving certain people to become impulsive, irritable, and irrational. They commit crimes and murder without considering the consequences, all to satisfy their own idea of "fairness and justice."
But few know that this force is often controlled by rational geniuses or madmen. Their supposed pursuit of justice is nothing more than a farce, an attempt to replace the law as judge.
An aloof, poker-faced, arrogant gong who thinks he's good at winning hearts VS a high-and-mighty shou with a simple mind and occasional unexpected charm, and a gangster gong who is mentally unstable, can go crazy at the drop of a hat, pretends to be weak and pitiful, and is deeply calculating.
1. Both leads are strong. The mystery-solving takes center stage, the plot is angsty, and the romance is sweet.
2. The original title was 2404. This was my first crime-investigation novel, so after many revisions, it has now been renamed.
3. Please add it to your reading list, and go easy on me~
Theme: Justice is never absent
I really couldn't watch it anymore. The story setting was actually okay, but it moved forward too fast, and the internal logic of the case didn't make sense. It felt like it was talking to itself. The author has already done a good job writing a criminal investigation article for the first time. I believe he will make progress if he writes more. Keep up the good work.
It makes me feel so heavy
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo crying?
I've finished reading it. If it's my first time writing a criminal investigation, it's already pretty good. Come on.
The story is compact and quite good.
Congratulations on the completion!! See you in the next book! (Fill in the pit, you hahahaha)
Hidden inside hahahahahaha
"Breasts" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ Is it a murder weapon?
Come on baby! You are the fattest!!!
I'm looking forward to it, please do your best
