Blurb:
Legend has it that the Great Thunderclap Temple has kept a Buddha egg in worship for ages.
The egg was originally a relic left behind when the previous Buddha passed into nirvana. After years of prayers and Buddhist chants within the temple, it finally gained a spark of life.
Everyone says the egg is nurturing the next Buddha Child.
And the Buddha Child will become the next Buddha.
The Great Thunderclap Temple devoted everything it had to this egg, yet millions of years passed without the slightest sign of it hatching.
But on the day Song Shushu happened to pass by Mount Ling, the egg... moved.
What should they do?
Call in outside help.
Song Shushu was summoned to hatch the Buddha egg and immediately named her price: "Shushu may be just a minor heavenly official, but I have my dignity. If you want me to hatch a Buddha egg... that'll cost extra."
The Buddhas and Arhats: "???"
Could someone get struck by lightning already?
She even tried to fleece the bald monks. Unbelievable.
But she was their last hope, so they had no choice but to agree.
During Song Shushu's years at the Great Thunderclap Temple, she enjoyed fine wine and meat, feasted on spirit fruit and celestial nectar every day, and teased the monks now and then, turning the whole temple upside down. Quite a few monks were clamoring to leave the priesthood.
The Buddhas panicked.
Kick her out. They absolutely had to kick her out.
And just as Song Shushu was thrown out of the Great Thunderclap Temple and, furious, prepared to put the Buddha egg in a pot over a fire...
The Buddha egg... cracked.
And it wasn't just the egg that broke. The hearts of all those bald monks at the Great Thunderclap Temple broke too.
On the day the Buddha Child left the temple, all one hundred and eight Arhats of the Great Thunderclap Temple came out in full force.
"Buddha Child, will you choose us or her?"
Lu Jinyu followed right behind Song Shushu without looking back, tossing out just two hurried words.
"I'm sorry!"
From beginning to end, she was the only one he had ever wanted.
P.S. There aren't really any landmines. I'll write it and see how it goes.
Both leads are each other's first and only, they dote on each other, and there are lots of laughs.

Coming soon: The Old Charlatan Trends Every Day
[Absurd Metaphysics Comedy]
Actors who graduated from a certain drama school are all saying that the old charlatan Ye Wudao from their class is back. Not only has she returned, she's become an idol.
During an interview, a reporter asked her, "Do you have any abilities beyond those of ordinary people?"
Ye Wudao: "Interpreting fortune sticks, reading characters, divining, telling fortunes..."
Reporter: "Haha, then tell my fortune first."
"I see a green glow above your head. You should go home first."
Reporter: "..."
I suspect you're messing with me, but I have no proof.
Later, the reporter went home to check, half believing and half doubting. Sure enough, he found out his partner had been cheating on him.
Netizen 1: Help! That reporter's so unlucky, but I really can't help laughing.
Netizen 2: An idol? She's clearly a mage.
Ask the mage to sing, and she starts with the Great Compassion Mantra and ends with the Diamond Sutra.
So what if she dances...
Fans: "Hehe! Who cares what dance? I want to see the mage perform an exorcism!"
Slurp~
Netizens called her a mage to her face and a charlatan behind her back, until Ye Wudao appeared on a variety show...
"Holy crap! She's a real mage!"
"I always thought it was a publicity stunt... I pay my respects, Mage!"
"Mom, I'm sorry. I'm about to become superstitious."
