The biggest dream of "washed-up" actor Yan Qiren was to be a lazy fish, lazier than any fish alive. He never expected that one day, a dumb dog would turn his plans upside down.
No one would believe it if he told them: the dog he adopted could order takeout, play video games, and even argue with him, loudly.
Ever since the dumb dog learned to use a phone, packages had been arriving at the house nonstop. It argued with him all day, couldn't be given away, and was too strong to beat. Only then did Yan Qiren realize he'd brought home a little tyrant.
He took a last-minute supporting role and had to go to City B.
Yan Qiren: "I'm going on a business trip. Take care of yourself while I'm gone."
The dumb dog sat in front of the computer, furiously mashing its skills with both paws. It lifted its noble canine head from the screen. "Woof... I'm coming too."
"Dogs can't fly."
"Okay," it said obediently, then turned around and arranged to have itself shipped.
A pet variety show contacted him, and Yan Qiren was baffled. Who had given the media his private phone number? When he asked, he found out that some nonhuman creature at home had secretly signed him up.
"Give me a reasonable explanation."
Dumb dog: "The show's rules say you can bring family."
Yan Qiren looked at the creature in front of him and mourned his fate. Family, huh? This dog ancestor probably... might count as family, right?
