He seems weak in the blurb because he's being compared to the love interest, who is the strongest character in the novel. Anyone would look weak next to him (gently). 3. The plot and romance get equal attention... At midnight, his phone starts streaming a bizarre, bloody broadcast, and people claiming to be players show up asking to stay the night... The place is no longer as cold as it used to be. Players can even trade for various items: warming soup that restores health, candies that remove negative status effects, pillows that boost sanity... Someone accidentally enters a restricted area of the safe house and sees a ghostly god standing with an umbrella, shielding a young man sleeping beneath a ginkgo tree from falling leaves. Its long, slender fingers press to its lips in a gesture for silence.
