【Expected to go premium on May 1, with a three-part chapter bundle that day. Your support would mean a lot!】
Yuan Shen: once an ordinary tourist from Earth, now a hapless stranger in another world.
From the start, he gets a sinister parasite bundle, complete with a survival mode set in a Lovecraftian fantasy world that's liable to go mad at any moment
The sun and moon are one, the stars are frozen points of light, fallen gods whisper people into madness, and the magical toxins floating in the air are dust that slowly kills you.
The summoner's corpse lies nearby as the sinister tome cackles, “Submit, mortal!”
The good news: Yuan Shen's mental power is absurdly strong, and he turns the sinister tome into a contact lens for his left eye.
The bad news: Whenever it gets the chance, the blasted book tries to control him and make him do evil. It chatters like a goat in the village square.
To avoid becoming a puppet, Yuan Shen grabs the mage's corpse and fashions a blond, blue-eyed young hunter as a secret identity on the spot. Then he downs a poison so his real body will end up in prison, and develops a whole range of new functions for the sinister tome, including “Wilderness Survival Tips,” “Continental GPS,” and “Bulk Supplier of Emergency Teleportation Scrolls.”
The Book of Tatar collapses: “??? You think you're so high and mighty, using a sinister tome as a multipurpose toolbox? What kind of person even comes up with something like this?!”
Yuan Shen (seriously): “Making good use of everything is perfectly reasonable.”
#Making trouble (crossed out) in another world: survival, starting with secret identities#
While the blond hunter Lak specializes in clearing out monsters and occasionally plays the sacrificial offering, information broker Ilya pretends to be a noble while handling paperwork and sending every slave trader to the gallows;
While the faceless assassin Sode points his blade at the heads of fallen-god cultists, the wandering doctor Blanc holds free clinics in the slums in his white coat;
While the death-calling raven Yaxiao announces the location of a rift into the realm of the dead, the minor deity Lampbearer guides the lost through the rift;
When the mysterious organization “Black Ring” gives the Church headaches, terrifies the nobility, and sends the fallen-god cult fleeing overnight, the entire continent wonders who the “Master of the Black Ring” is
Yuan Shen, wearing his detective secret identity, is being hunted across the continent. He flees for his life while annotating the wanted posters with “Ugly portrait, recommend further training,” and marvels that his friend Euen always shows up at critical moments like a human cheat code.
“Want some hot soup?”
“Should I bandage that wound for you?”
“Want to storm the cult's hideout together?”
Yuan Shen is suspicious but touched: I don't know what this guy's after, but he's a true friend!
The Book of Tatar shrieks: “He's after your bizarre way of thinking! You've turned me into the straight man, you idiot! Run! This guy's so friendly he seems fake!”
But Euen sticks with Yuan Shen
They fix the orphanage roof together, grow mushrooms in the rift to the realm of the dead together, and write denunciation letters to the true gods while being chased three blocks by the Church. When Yuan Shen is on the brink of death, Euen shouts even louder than the Book of Tatar.
A perfect straight man, a reliable partner, and his one and only close friend.
Yuan Shen: That's why I've never asked where Euen comes from. ∩_∩
Euen: ...:)
■Before you read■
1. “What I hold to may indeed be the personal madness that people hate, but it is the defiance of someone far from home who refuses to sink into ruin.”
“, Whatever the ending may be, it will be as I wish.”
2. No romance. The transmigrator has no room for love in his heart. To the protagonist, his secret identities are merely tools to “maintain regularly and remake when broken.”
3. This was originally planned as a prequel to two novels with the same protagonist in my collection, but my ideas have changed over the past few years. Some settings, including the ending, have been significantly revised. Please understand.
Theme: Even in the depths of a long night, keep seeking the stars and the sun.
Who would have thought that we were just traveling around and drawing swords to help?
Time is quiet and traveling is great. It's even more interesting when I think of the vests on both sides coming and going.
Let Him Ga! Let Him Ga! What's wrong with the child being happy?
Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, cheering.
"It seems to be spreading." This is a big bug for the author~ Take a walk
Why does it feel like a beautiful photo of a quack crow ()
