What's the first thing you do when you arrive in the Warring States era? Buy some items to keep yourself alive, of course.

Otherwise, if anyone noticed that the clan leader's baby had the eyes of an adult, he'd be done for. He'd surely die of acute iron poisoning.

After his own father nearly hauled him off to war at the age of three, Makō really did settle down. This feudal Warring States world wasn't a place normal people could survive in. Everyone who made it was a lunatic. He decided to stop turning his frustrations inward and start taking them out on others instead.

And so, with the help of his items and his own indomitable will to survive, Senju Madoma became the clan's medical ninja and lived to tell the tale.

Meanwhile, his two older brothers grew stranger by the day.

After their little brother left them on his own, Hashirama and Tobirama wanted to create a world where they could have a little brother.

Makō, who had finally achieved a Happy Ending on the highest difficulty: ?

In his second life, Makō learned his lesson. He decided to keep his interactions shallow, watch what he said, and play two accounts so they could help each other.

One of them became a mountain in the Uchiha clan. That's right, he became Mount Myoko, Uchiha Myoko.

The good news: he wasn't a little brother.

The bad news: he had become some kind of shadow warrior.

And so began Uchiha Myoko's life as both father and mother to the clan. He went out to fight during the day and came home at night to manage clan affairs.

Uchiha Myoko: Before you stands the (acting) Uchiha clan leader, master of clan affairs, Uchiha physician, relationship counselor, breadwinner for the clan, and shared father.

After more than twenty years of juggling all these jobs, he finally couldn't take it anymore. He returned his eyes to the clan and went looking for his other secret identity.

They dragged him back.

Makō was furious. You people put all this pressure on one office worker? You weren't satisfied even when we got a Happy Ending, and now that I'm done, you still drag me back to work?

In his third life, he had no choice but to pay to travel back to the era of the Ninja Monks. He simply wanted to see what the ancestors of the Senju and Uchiha were like, and whether there was something wrong with their bloodline.

There was.

Makō went through a miserable stretch of working his day job in real life and working in the game, too.

In his fourth life, after a crushing defeat, Makō finally gave himself a vacation.

In his fifth life, Makō planned to try a straightforward mission-and-level-up experience under the ninja village system.

Wait, why are you all still alive in this timeline?

When Kanata encountered an author System while panicking over an AI plagiarism check on his thesis, he thought he was about to reach the pinnacle of his life.

Instead, while he was giddy with joy, the System played dirty. It used his computer to break into a database and absorb every literary work there.

Then it said, [Let's see how the plagiarism score looks.]

Kanata: ?

No, that's not how the story is supposed to go. You should send me over there so I can show off, write five books in three days, become famous, establish my place as the founder of literature, and then enjoy the good life!

But where there's a policy, there's a workaround.

If his System was unconventional, then he'd be an unconventional author.

With that in mind, Kanata cheerfully headed to another world, where he saw transcendents like human nuclear bombs fighting spectacularly on behalf of their countries.

Kanata screamed. No, this is all wrong! Why is this the world of Bungo Stray Dogs?! Is this what an unconventional author means? Help! Where are my powers? My ability?! Don't play dead! Won't I die the moment I step outside?!

The despairing author began his work.
