The Unorthodox Literary Master System

Also known as The Bottom-Dweller Gene Kicks Off a Rescue Mission!, When Did I Become Your Apocalypse?, and What Do You Mean We're the Same Kind?

When Ye Duo (Kanata) encountered a Literary Genius System while despairing over his paper's AI plagiarism check, he thought he was about to reach the peak of his life.

Instead, while he was still giddy with joy, it played dirty. It used his computer to break into the database and absorb every literary work it could find.

Then all it said was: [Let's see what the plagiarism score says.]

Ye Duo: ?

No, that's not how the story is supposed to go! You should send me over there so I can show off my powers, publish five books in three days, become famous across the land, establish myself as the founder of literature, and then live a life of luxury!

Where there's a policy, there's a workaround. Ye Duo immediately thought of translating his work into another language and then translating it back.

I'm a genius, he thought, and happily went to another world. There, he saw a newspaper article about superpowered people as destructive as human nuclear bombs.

Ye Duo screamed. No, this was all wrong! Why was he in the world of Bungo Stray Dogs? So it was that kind of atypical literary genius story! Help! Where are my powers? My abilities?! Don't play dead! Am I going to die the moment I step outside?

The desperate literary genius began to write.

All beings suffer.

After looking over the secret identities and works Ye Duo had created since he started writing, a critic remarked, "By the time I read the first page, my whole life belonged to him. While we see only a fragment, he sees the whole. While we panic and try to grasp reality, he already understands the past, the present, and the future."

Ye Duo: ?

Are you talking about me?

Ye Duo looked at the human nuclear bombs gathered around him, demanding the next update.

The good news: They won't send me razor blades.

The bad news: It's ten thousand times worse.

#There is plenty of overthinking and people reading too much into things, but Ye Duo gets all the reassurance he needs.

#The plot is long and visits different countries, so there are quite a few original worldbuilding details.

#A story within a story.

#Includes imaginings and additions to the literary genius world.
