Severely Nearsighted and Lost in a Horror Anthology

Bai Xiaojiu is severely nearsighted. Without his glasses, he can't tell people from animals beyond three meters away.

The only time he normally goes without his glasses is when he's asleep.

Then one day, he woke up halfway through a nap and discovered he'd transmigrated.

Into an anthology of horror stories.

A monster with countless mutated limbs stepped upright out of a mirror, and everyone fainted in terror.

Bai Xiaojiu: Oh my god, what a bald tree!

Monster: ?

A zombie with a gaping mouth full of sharp teeth and a lolling flesh-colored tongue dropped from the sky, and everyone screamed in horror.

Bai Xiaojiu: Oh my god, what an ugly flower!

Zombie: ?

From a decrepit little house crawled a wronged female ghost, long dead, her several-meter-long nails and black hair sweeping through everyone like tentacles.

Bai Xiaojiu: Oh my god, what a huge cockroach!

Female ghost: ?

No matter how terrifying and bizarre the bosses were, Bai Xiaojiu saw them either as children's doodles or as creatures crawling through the sewers.

It was deeply insulting.

The bosses were unanimously enraged, finally drawing the anthology's keeper's attention.

One day, Bai Xiaojiu pushed open the palace doors.

In the ruined wasteland stood a towering throne, with a tall, slender figure seated upon it.

Ink-black hair, robes billowing.

It was a sight beyond anything Bai Xiaojiu could comprehend.

The figure rose from the throne and walked toward him at an unhurried pace.

Black shadows descended, enveloping Bai Xiaojiu completely.

Bai Xiaojiu gazed up for a moment, then cupped his face in both hands. Oh my god! What a tall beauty!

The man, who considered himself handsome, proud, and domineering: ...?

-

Everyone thought Bai Xiaojiu could clear the scenarios without a scratch thanks to his naturally mosaic-blurred vision.

Until later.

The scenario collapsed, and the sky and earth split apart.

Countless mutated creatures tore through parallel dimensions, raining down like a torrential downpour on the steel metropolis.

The youth picked up his glasses from the blood and flesh, then raised his rifle.

Wherever his bullets struck, corpses littered the ground.

Firelight became the only brightness in the world.
